WASTE MANAGEMENT IN AD
Waste includes all items that no longer have any use for, which we either intend to get rid of or have already discarded. Many items can be considered as waste like kitchen scrap, sewage sludge, wastes from manufacturing activities, packaging items, old cars, old televisions, garden waste, etc. Though all our daily activities can give rise to a large variety of different wastes arising from different sources. The perception of waste is now changing. It is no longer viewed as an unwanted substance but rather as a resource. Reducing waste production and aligning with the principles of the waste hierarchy as set out within the Emirate's Waste Management Strategy. This sets clear objectives and targets for waste reduction, reuse and recycling. Household waste is that which arises from houses, flats, labour camps, schools, universities and prisons.
Commercial waste comes from premises used for trade, business, and entertainment such as malls, shops and recreation areas.
Industrial waste is that which arise from a factory or industrial process.
