“For Disney gets us young and helps to shape up our understanding of who we are, getting us to whistle while we work, to be unafraid of the big bad wolf, to wish upon a star that some day our prince will come, indeed to accept Disney products as the spoonful of sugar that helps any medicine go down, in this small world after all” (Clark). A man with huge imaginations made his dreams come to life in many different ways. He always had a thing for animation from the age of ten. He never gave up on what he dreamt of until it became real. began with his cartoons and movies, to his amusement parks, while still providing a positive environment for people young and old.

Walt Disney was born December 15, 1901, in Chicago, and was the fourth son of his parents Elias and Flora Disney. He grew up in the two towns of Marceline and Kansas City, Missouri (Tibbetts). Walt’s first animations were most likely a “flip-book” for his sister when he was nine years old. Walt also always had an interest for art including copying a well-known comic strip and creating his own (“Disney, Walt”).

He attended McKinley High School in Chicago (Weisblat). Disney’s talents during his high school career got noticed by many and were published in the school papers (“Disney, Walt”). Kansas City, Missouri, was where Disney first started out his “experience and moral outlook” (Tibbetts). Disney’s first job was working at a commercial art studio (“Disney, Walt”). He was known as a very good independent “public figure” and lead “studio” guy (Weisblat). He was a loving family man that still had many moments of depression. He also had a couple of nervous breakdowns during his lifetime (Slayman).

...Disney’s California Institute of the Arts is where Disney left most of his estates to (Slayman). Although Walt died, people still looked at him as the man who invented “Mickey Mouse forty years before” (Disney, Walt”).

While still providing a positive environment for the young and old people of the world, Walt Disney succeeded through his shows and movies to his amusement parks throughout the world, to make American people enjoy life as it should be. Walt Disney’s impact has affected many people. He has inspired children of all ages to never give up on their dreams. Walt Disney still has an impact on society today because he has many movies and cartoons that send out a good message. He also has created many amazing amusement parks for people of all ages to enjoy to this day. His amusement parks as well as his movies and cartoons are still being watched and enjoyed.
