Over the years, people have created several lists of the wonders of the world. This has made me think about what I would choose for my own list. After research and deep thought, I have decided that my top three wonders of the world are Disney World, Times Square and the Bay of Fundy. My top wonder of the world is Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida which attracts approximately 17 million people each year. Disney World is a wonder because it is simply a magical place where fairy tales come to life. My second wonder of the world is Times Square in New York City because of the unique atmosphere. I find the scents, sounds and sights of the commercial intersection fascinating. My third wonder is the Bay of Fundy located in New Brunswick and Nova …show more content…

The theme park is located in Orlando, Florida and contains four theme parks, five golf courses, two waterparks, themed hotels, shopping areas, a transportation system and many more fascinating attractions. Disney World is 43 square miles of magic and excitement. Each ride is an experience with interactions, music and characters. A popular ride at Disney is Splash Mountain. It is a great ride because it has a story line with suspense and ends with a dramatic steep drop. Being at the Disney World theme parks makes you feel like a kid again. The characters and joyful employees always put a smile on my face. You can even enjoy dinner with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The sights at Disney are incredible with loads of bright colours and the famous castle in Magic Kingdom. Disney World is great because it has something for everyone. There is a park designed for older children called Epcot, Hollywood Studios for the movie fanatics, Animal Kingdom for the animal lovers and the famous Magic Kingdom, that just about anyone would enjoy. It is a wonder because it has some of the largest tides in the world. The Hopewell Rocks, also known as the Flowerpot Rocks, are a big attraction of the Bay of Fundy. The Hopewell Rocks are located at Hopewell Cave near Moncton, New Brunswick. Here, tourists can explore the oceans floor at a low tide. I think it is astounding that 160 billion tonnes of water flow through the bay every 24 hours. You may be able to kayak the bay at a high tide over the same area you recently walked through at low tide. You can experience one low tide and one high tide during the daylight. The tides are approximately six hours and 13 minutes apart. I enjoyed walking on the ocean’s floor with the cliffs above me. I find it insane that the water flows in so quickly at a rate of over ten meters per minute. It is possible to discover treasures like fossils, sea glass and stones on the ocean’s floor. When the bay is in high tide, you can experience the diverse marine life. I think it is amazing that over eight species of whales live in a place with such great tidal power. I thought that the tides would destroy plants and animals but the churning waves actually nourish the various species. The Bay of Fundy’s slogan is actually, “be here... feel the wonder.” So, it is not just me who thinks the Bay of Fundy is a wonder. I believe the Bay of Fundy is a wonder because of the incredible experience
