Disney Productions is one of the leading entertainment businesses, bringing tremendous profits not to mention the joy it brings many people. It has not always been this easy for Disney however. It took the mind of one man to bring it to what it is today, and that’s mans name is Walt Disney.
Walt Disney’s life was devoted to the arts and entertainment almost from birth. However, Walt’s fortunes and fame didn’t take form until his creation of Mickey
Mouse.
Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901 and was the fourth child of Elias and Flora Disney. He was an extremely talented child, exhibiting tremendous creativity at such a young age. Walt began drawing pictures in the 1st grade and continued until the day he died. Another of his exceptional talents was acting. Walt relished each opportunity to perform on stage or in class. While in elementary school "on Lincoln’s Birthday every year until he graduated, Walt was hauled from class to class by the principal to give the Gettysburg Address." (Fisher, 18)
Walt got bored with school however and dropped out at the age of 16. He immediately got a job as a waiter on a train line and kept this job until the U.S. entered the war.
Walt had a great desire to join the army, but was rejected because he was to young. Since he still desired to have some role in the war he became a volunteer with the Red
Cross. Within a week he was sent to the front and didn’t return for one to two years. When Walt returned from he war he told his father that he wanted to become an animator, but his father did not approve. Walt ignored his father’s advice and enrolled in art school.
Walt attended art school for several months in both
Missouri and Kansas City and then later found a job at an advertising firm in Kansas. There he met a talented artist named Ubbe Iwerks. Ubbe was a great animator and he and Walt became good friends. Walt and Ubbe worked all day for the advertising company, but at night they studied the art of animation and experimented with ways to make animation smoother by using light and a camera. Walt soon quit his job at the advertising firm because he was not satisfied with the work he was doing. He found a job in
Kansas City at a Film Ad Company. Walt was quickly fired from this job and having nowhere else to go, he returned home.
Walt and his brother Roy decided to form their own business available jobs did...

Construction was completed and the park opened in 1955 and by that time Disney Productions was a financial success. People were so anxious to be the first ones in
Disneyland that when only 15,000 tickets were sold for opening day 33,000 people showed up, half of them had counterfeit tickets.
Certainly, Walt Disney was a man of vision. A man who had the creativity to develop ideas and then have the patience and perseverance to carry them out. Walt Disney showed courage and the desire you need to build a successful life. Even when all odds were against him, he still was able to find a way to conquer his dreams. He taught us many things and I hope we remember this man not only for his cartoons, but also for his work ethics and the contributions he made to society.

Elvis Presley rose to fame in the 1950’s quickly becoming one of the most recognizable singers of all time. Through the 1960’s and 1970’s he achieved unparalleled fame through his music as well as his acting in movies. Yet, the sexy symbol, hip thrusting, southern man was not without his continual faults, errors, and drug abuse. In fact the debate still rages among some on what brought down this international star. In this essay, I will provide a biography of the life of Elvis Presley and then use this information to conclude what psychological problems the great Elvis Presley may have been facing.
Elvis Aaron Presley, in the humblest of circumstances, was born to Vernon and Gladys Presley in a two-room house in Tupelo, Mississippi on January 8, 1935. His twin brother, Jessie Garon, was stillborn, leaving Elvis to grow up as an only child. He and his parents moved to Memphis, Tennessee in 1948, and Elvis graduated from Humes High School there in 1953.
The famous, very talented, The King of Rock ‘N” Roll, Elvis Presley’s story began on January 8, 1935 to Vernon and Gladys Presley. Presley was born in a two bedroom house, as a twin. However, Elvis was the second of the two and his brother Jessie Garon was the first, in which he was stillborn. This left Elvis to grow up alone, as an only child. During 1948, the Presley family moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where Elvis would continue his education and graduate from Humes High School.
Musical prodigies are most frequently related to genre, however by definition, such prodigies have natural skills and are not restricted to one musical style. Musical prodigies typically have many of the subsequent characteristics: exceptional talent, associate degreed, or interest in music at an early age. The one component that really defines a musical prodigy is the ability to make a performance dynamic with the audience that's charming and, at times, overwhelming. Elvis Presley's musical talent clearly encompassed all of those characteristics and more. Elvis Presley was a genius. “He did not express himself the way the middle classes do, which is with word play and having the ability to clarify his actions and reactions. He acted on gut instinct and expressed himself by the method he controlled the mike, by the way he moved his hips, by the way that he sings down with microphone” (Elvis Life Story. N.p., n.d).

Walt’s exposure to rural life influenced him throughout his career.” (Jolley) When reading about Walt’s early history, it’s noticeable that he came from very humble circumstances. The places he lived, and the experiences he had, shaped his life dramatically. He was an imaginative and hardworking person from the start. “ Walt was only nine years old when he had to get up at 3:30 a.m., seven days a week, to fold and deliver papers for two hours before attending…school” (Jolley) By working at such a young age, life lessons of perseverance and dedication was instilled into his values at a very early.

While reading this article, Walt Disney was the first person to come to mind. Walt Disney is one of the most well-known entrepreneur of all time. The article discusses how entrepreneurs like to take risks. One risk that Walt Disney took was when he granted permission to his distributor to copyright his character Oswald. Oswald was very successful, but Disney didn’t get any credit. Like most entrepreneurs, Disney learned from this lesson. At one point in this article, it was said that entrepreneurs will collaborate with anyone. This is true for Disney, because his brother became his partner. This showed that he will let other people, even if they don’t have experience, help him on his journey.
The laws of land differs from country, state, or continent; with the vast beliefs of American citizens, the laws will constantly differ from the various generations that have passed and for the generations to come. The problem that Americans (as well as many other countries) have is conflicts between the old laws versus the new generations. Louis D. Brandeis explains the benefit of encouraging legal education because of the “rapid pace of social and economic changes”. Although our government upholds the laws made for its citizens, the public opinion on laws, policies, social change or equality for that matter, should always be considered, whether our elected officials agree or not.
There are few who have had as enormous an impact on our culture and entertainment as Walt Disney. As co-creator of Mickey Mouse he helped to create the most popular and well-known cartoon character in the world. As the founder of Walt Disney Studios, he was an artist who changed animation and film-making forever and has been delighting and inspiring audiences for nearly 100 years. And, of course, when he brought us Disneyland he created a place unlike any other, one that still thrills the imaginations of children and adults today.
Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. His parents, Elias and Flora Disney, gave him the name Walter Elias Disney. Walt was one of 5 children, four boys and one girl. In 1906, his family packed up and moved to a farm in Marceline, Missouri. By this time, Walt discovered that he was very interested in art and drawing. “More things of importance happened to me in Marceline than have happened since – or are likely to in the future.” (Disney, 7) Later on, the Disney family had to move to Kansas City because Walt's father, Elias, could no longer take care of his farm when he became very ill. Elias owned a newspaper company to make money for his family and had Walt and Roy, one of his other sons deliver the papers. In 1910, Walt's family once again packed up and moved to Chicago. Walter did not want to move with his family because he wanted to finish school, so he stayed behind and worked for his brother Herb through the summer. In fall, he moved back with his family and enrolled at McKinley High School. Walt did have an interest in his classes, but found a love for drawing cartoons which were featured in his school's newspaper.
Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago Illinois. Despite this, he lived in Marceline, Kansas for a majority of his childhood. He and his family worked and lived on a small farm and, during his free time, would use his imagination to doodle animals which he would sell to friends and neighbors. In 1911, Walt’s father fell ill and the Disney family moved to Kansas city. There, Walt and his brother Roy delivered newspapers for their father. They would wake up at ungodly hours, like three in the morning, and work seven days a week. Even with school and his job, Walt still found time for his drawings. After completing middle school, the Disney family moved back to Chicago, where Walt would then graduated from high school. During the tail end of World War I, he joined the Red Cross and served for nine months in France. He transported officers, transported supplies, and drove ambulances.
