Wait Until Dark By: Frederick Knott (performed by Center Stage) The production of Wait Until Dark preform by Center Stage was very good. The acting was very well done and the set looked very real. Alexis Jarvis did a wonderful job playing Susy Hendrix her scream of terror was really good. Lauryn Cosgrove did a wonderful job playing Gloria her outfit was really cute and her acting was very good. The play lasted a little over two hours, but that is to be expected. Everyone involved did a good job, they should be very proud of them self’s and their acting skills. The play is set in a basement apartment in Greenwich Village, New York. The plot is a girl blinded in a motor cycle accident (Susy) marries a photographer named Sam Hendrix. Sam just came back from seeing his Family in Candia with some women’s doll with a surprise cache of Heroine inside (only the thieves and women know what’s inside the doll). A man fallowing the women seen her give the doll to Sam so him and two thieves go to their apartment and try to smart Sam’s blind wife into giving them the doll. They are thieves trying to take the doll from Susy for the Heroine. Susy gets smart and realizes she knows the house better than them and shorts the fuse box, so the thieves have to play by her rules. Another possible character turning point that is visible is Gloria hating Susy to realizing that she really isn’t that bad and helps her defeat the thieves. Mike Talmon also changes at first he doesn’t care about much, but the doll and the money he is owed. Toward the end of the play he realizes that Susy is really sweet and that he doesn’t really want to hurt her he just wants the money for a fresh
