Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a technology that allows a person to make real-time voice calls using a broadband Internet connection (RJ-45) instead of on an analog phone line (RJ-11). Some businesses offer VoIP services that only allow people to call others using the same software or service, but other companies allow a person to call anyone who has a telephone number. These VoIP phone calls can include any made to local, long distance, mobile and international phone numbers. While some VoIP services only work over your computer or a specially installed VoIP phone, other services allow you to use a traditional phone connected to a VoIP adapter that is easily connected to a switch or router. VoIP technology has recently become available for use on cell phones, but this requires the use of large amounts of data on the network.
VoIP takes the voice signal from the user and breaks it up into small data packets and these packets are sent through the network to be received and decompressed on the other side. This process requires two main technologies to

This broadband connection can be established from the ISP through a cable modem or DSL modem. A user interface device is needed such as a computer, VoIP adaptor, or specialized phone (Cisco) to make a call using VoIP technology. VoIP services convert your voice or video into a digital signal that travels over the Internet. The data is converted into chucks of data called packets which travel the internet to a specified destination and get assembled on the other side to produce the VoIP call. If a person makes a call to a regular phone number, the signal is converted to a traditional landline telephone signal before it reaches the destination. In addition, wireless hot spots in locations such as airports, parks, and cafes allow you to connect to the Internet and may enable a person to use VoIP service
It is crucial that individuals take precautions when using technology to have conversations with others. Due to the fact that it can be dangerous, effective telephone communication is very important. Before using technology as communication devices, it is a good idea to know the main issues regarding it. It is also a good idea to know about any recent developments and how it affects its users. By making sure the technology has high ratings and positive feedback, there is a greater chance that you will be happier with the outcome of your purchase.
The major savings were planned through the convergence of the voice traffic over the IP data network. The first step in that plan was to build a global network that supports the Quality of Service (QoS) necessary for VoIP traffic. Since the primary partner in this project is Cisco System, which supports VoIP through their range of products called Architecture for Voice, Video, and integrated Data (AVVID), the design is largely reliant on this technology (Cisco AVVID, 2002). The network consists of a switched core that delivers multiple megabytes of bandwidth to a ...
The main advantage of using this system is that is supports voice over IP (VoIP) services such as IP-Centrex. IP Centrex is a service that provides a single broadband access point to a company. The company can use this access point to broadcast packets of voice data. When no voice data is present, more bandwidth is available to other uses of the company. This results in saved money to the company because dedicated phone lines are not needed.

This unique internet telephone service is offered by the SIP Service Provider. For the SIP trunking to work seamlessly and successfully, its installation of involves four basic components.
This service will soon be further enhanced by picture messaging libraries, video clips and video telephony (seeing the person you're calling) and improving download speeds. Another service is the Vodafone Mobile Connect Card, which enables customers to access their normal business applications on a laptop when out of the office. Such services add value to the product, and high profile effective promotion will help sell these services to existing and new customers.
The Telephone System The telephone is one of the most creative and prized inventions in the world. It has advanced from its humble beginnings to its wireless communication technology today and for the future. The inhabitants of the earth have long communicated over a distance, which has been done by shouting from one hilltop or tower to another. The word "telephone" originated from a combination of two Greek words: "tele", meaning far off, and "phone", meaning voice or sound, and became the known term for "far- speaking." A basic telephone usually contains a transmitter, that transfers the caller's voice, and a receiver, that amplifies sound from an In the transmitter there are two common kinds of transmitters: the carbon transmitter, and the electric transmitter.
Wi-Fi (Wireless Network) or 802.11 networking is a phenomenal way of providing Internet wirelessly at a low cost. Using radio waves, a wireless network connects a PC, mobile phone or just about anything that connects to the internet wirelessly by a router. By transmitting signals at 2.4 or 5 GHz it allows the waves to transmit more data at a faster rate. Typical Wi-Fi standards are 802.11a, b, g, n, or ac and they can switch up the frequency depending on the model (Brain). Families can create their own wireless network that can be shared between family members without the use of hooking all their devices up to the modem and can also protect their home network from potential hackers with the use of a TKIP or AES encryption. Businesses can also create a “hotspot” which is an area that has wireless networks for free or at a set fee. This is extremely convenient for commuters that need internet access while they are at work, waiting on a plane, or just sitting at a coffee spot without the need for wires(Cox).
Nobody is required to have a certain skill to use a telephone, only that they speak into the microphone and listen through the earpiece. In time, sophisticated switching networks had been developed to allow telephone users to dial directly to each other. The telegraph was actually a digital device in the sense that the data it transmitted carried simple on-off patterns, and its output was a string of fixed symbols. These days, cellular phones are used to send text and voice messages. Cellphones weren’t the successors to the telegraph however; in fact, there were and are many types of telephones that are still used
Local Area Networks also called LANs have been a major player in industrialization of computers. In the past 20 or so years the worlds industry has be invaded with new computer technology. It has made such an impact on the way we do business that it has become essential with an ever-growing need for improvement. LANs give an employer the ability to share information between computers with a simple relatively inexpensive system of network cards and software. It also lets the user or users share hardware such as Printers and scanners. The speed of access between the computers is lighting fast because the data has a short distance to cover. In most cases a LAN only occupies one or a group of buildings located next to each other. For larger area need there are several other types of networks such as the Internet.
Audio: Audio includes radios, television, mobile phones, and internet. A telephone is a device that converts sounds into electrical impulses and sends them over copper wires of a remote unit which converts them back into sounds.
Making a telephone call no longer should conjure up visions of operators connecting cables by hand or even of electrical signals causing relays to click into place and effect connections during dialing. The telephone system now is just a multilevel computer network with software switches in the network nodes to route calls get through much more quickly and reliably than they did in the past. A disadvantage is the potential for dramatic and widespread failures; for as has happened.
An application that allows people to send messages, which may contain text and/or attachments to a specific person or groups. Much like conventional mail, an e-mail is addressed to a specific recipient and it goes the recipient’s mailbox, where it stays until the recipient opens their mailbox or inbox. Instant messaging and Voice of Internet Protocol (VoIP) is another way people communicate in real time, in the same way as a telephone communication, allowing for one on one communication or group conference. Chatrooms and forums enable communications by providing a venue for people connect to special interests groups. In addition to audio and written communications, internet communications have introduced and enabled video communications. These different venues of communication, have not only changed the way people communicate among themselves, but also how people receive their news, how people work, how people shop, and how organizations conduct business. Internet and internet communication has become an essential part of everyday life which spans from private citizens to small business, to military operations and even space
