Violent video games have been around for quite some time from Pac-man to Space Invaders. Throughout the years, these video games have improved along with technology. With new and improved technology there’s better sound and better graphics on this violent video games. However, they seem to be a problem in our century. Violent Video games tend to affect behavior in those who play them. Behavior is affected in such as communication, maladaptive, and aggressiveness.

Violent Video games and other media such as tv, movies, and music are very influential to children and teens. What children or teens view is what they act or what they go by. When they see a lot of it; it starts to become as a normal behavior or act for them. As they start to do the same as what they see they begin to see nothing wrong with what they’re doing. It’s as it was said before these players of violent video games lose empathy. Children exposed to violence at a young age have a high tendency of developing aggressive behavior than those who are not exposed. Most people that play violent video games can come across short-term effects and long-term effects as video games (2010) inform. Media violence researchers do believe that the last three happen often very quickly. Now, how do they learn to be aggressive even if it’s wrong at the time?
