The quote shows the metaphorical side of a violence which kids have been through because they usually watch cartoons and basically most of the cartoons include violence. According to Clark’s article, especially kids’ programs comprise violence more than general programs (“Cartoon violence 'makes children more aggressive '”). So, should parents worry? Animation is well-liked at all ages because cartoons entertain people and even educate them. However, some cartoons include negative occurrences which can influence kids poorly, that is why people need to be careful in watching animation. There was a report which is made by National Institute of Mental Health to understand the effects of violence in cartoons on children, the research resulted as children who watch animation regularly; they will not be responsive to environment, they will be frightened before they see the real world and they will be conducted more hostility (“Violence on Television: What do Children Learn? What Can Parents Do?”). Media has a big affect on TV channels because they control what is going to be on TV or not and for this reason, it will be good for kids if TV executives check the cartoons before broadcasting them on TV. Brutality in those cartoon characters has bad effects on kids. If executives decide whether it is proper or not and decide what kind of age groups can watch the cartoons’ they have, it will decrease the bad effects of animation on kids because the only cartoons that they watch are going to be appropriate for their age. As claimed by Federman, program producers can change broadcastings by altering the hours of violent cartoons, lower the brutality in it or even they can reduce the violence in animation by checking cartoons and deciding which one will be dangerous for kids (41). However, sometimes, they just broadcast cartoons randomly for their own profit and they do not even think of who is watching these cartoons. According to Sharma’s article, ”... Responsible TV should show the consequences of violence and present alternatives for resolving conflicts in a nonviolent fashion. It is dangerous to show violence as a problem solver”(“Will They ever Deglamorize Violence on TV?”). Executives can show violent animation at certain times of the day and this will also help parents to control
