There are many factors to consider when choosing an MBA program. With the recent turn of events in the U.S. economy, one of the most important factors is the ability to get a job after graduation. It is highly recommended for future college students to find a school that offers improving their chances of career advancement with an extensive program that satisfies not only the educational aspect but also that the school has accurate accreditations. Although a relatively new school compared to other Virginia Universities, George Mason University is reasonable choice especially for those living in Northern Virginia because of the value it offers. Graduating from George Mason University’s School of Management is beneficial when competing for DC career opportunities because of the wealth of knowledge gained, its ranked position among accredited business schools and its proximity to DC companies.
Not very many people are aware that Mason used to belong to the University of Virginia as a satellite location in Bailey’s Crossroads. It opened in 1957 so it would offer classes to Northern Virginia area as satellite location. This location was nicknamed the Fairfax campus; however, it eventually branched out as their own university in 1972. Mason also extended their locations by opening campuses in Arlington, Loudon, and Prince William County.
