RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

3.1 INTRODUCTION
This chapter explains on the research methodology that being used for this study. In order to achieve the objective of the study, methodology acts as a guideline for conducting a research. Research methodology is a systematic way to solve the research problem ( Rajasekar et al., 2006). In this chapter, there are several part that have been prioritize which is premilinary stage, collecting data, analyzing data, summarize data and write up research’s finding.

By using quantitative the data can be ranked. It is used to quantify attitudes, opinions, behaviors, and other defined variables. Besides that, it can divided into discrete and continuous data. Discrete data can be counted while continuous data can be placed within two specified value. Quantitative data collection methods are much more structured than Qualitative data collection methods. It refers to the transformation of raw data into a form that will ease in understanding and interpretation. Descriptive analysis will been test in section A which is demography analysis. It will analyze the background of respondents such as position in company and years of experience in construction industry. In this research some of the question will be analyze using percentage and presented into chart.

3.8.2 Mean Analysis Mean analysis is an average number of data collection. The analysis is being conducted to identify the the perceptions of professionals in construction industry in adopting Green Building Index. The ratings on the scale will indicate the level of significance of perception. The perceptions of professionals in construction company at Kuantan, Pahang will be ranked based on the value of the mean.
