Recommended: Importance of sports for our youths essay

Usain Bolt is the fastest man alive. Bolt has been a great influence on the track and field program. His love for the sport really shows in his actions. Usain inspires so many people to go out and do what they love.
Usain Bolt was born on August 21, 1986. His parents are Jennifer and Wellesey Bolt. Usain grew up with his siblings Sadiki, his brother and Sherine, his sister. Bolt and his family lived in a village named Sherwood Content in Jamaica. Bolt’s father sold foods in a shop to provide for their family. His mother helped by picking fruits in the fields nearby.
Usain was born an unusual child. He had been diagnosed with a condition called scoliosis. This meant that his spine was curved more than it was supposed to be. He was often in pain if he was sitting for too long. Usain’s condition didn’t stop him from doing what he loved. Usain Bolt really loved to be active and play sports. “‘When I was young,’ Usain said, ‘I didn’t really think about anything other than sport’”(Savage, 9). Usain loved sports so much, it actually worried his parents. His parents took him to the doctor, but the doctor found that nothing was wrong with him.
Bolt began to start running around the age of nine. When he was ten, he joined the school’s track and field team. A couple of years later he was actually the fastest kid at his school. One thing a lot of people don’t know though is that Usain’s favorite sport was actually cricket. People saw how fast he was though and pushed him to be a runner. Even his cricket coach pushed him to be in track and field.
In high school Usain didn’t stand out right away. In his high school career he started out with running the 80 meter hurdles. Bolt then began running events such as the 200 and 400 meter race...

Usain is a great influence of the public, but especially the track community. He has encouraged kids everywhere to join track and be active. He showed that no matter where you come from you can do great things with your life. He is a great role model for everyone and shows great skills that everyone and anyone can learn from. Bolt also does a lot of community work. He even has his own foundation called the Usain Bolt Foundation. His foundation helps out his own community and Usain gives up his own money and time to help out children and to help out hospitals and other things in his community that need help.
Usain is a positive influence on the track community and will continue to be. He has shown many great things with what he has done. He also shows promise for the future. He is a person that anyone can learn from.
