People are often distracted by the things that affect them outside of the workplace. This causes the individual to lose focus on the important things such as getting the responsible assignments done. Difficult people in the workplace come in every conceivable variety. These coworkers would talk constantly, and never listen. Some just have to have the last word; they criticize and compete with you for power, privileges, and the spotlight. Disciplining employees is a necessary matter in each organization. Effective discipline can help to correct employee behavioral issues and can increase productivity. Research one person who worked hard to become successful. Several factors contributed to their success, discuss them. The individual I research is a woman by the name of Ursula Burns. Ursula Burns is the chairman and chief executive officer at Xerox Corporation. Ursula joined Xerox as an intern in 1980 and during her career she has held leadership posts spanning corporate services, manufacturing and product development. She was named president in 2007, chief executive office in 2009 and chairman in 2010. Ursula Burns is the first African American to woman to lead a fortune 500 company. 14. Identify your ideal job. What do you need to do now to prepare yourself for that job? What is your Plan A and Plan B? An ideal job for me is to become a home health administrator. What I need to do to prepare myself for this ideal job is to research the requirements. Research and find a school that I would want to attend if the location requires me to obtain my master’s degree. Find out where I can get the study material in order to obtain my licensure to become the administrator. Also gain some experience related to the field, and look into any possible certifications.
