Identify the movie by standing it’s title, the year it was released, the name of the director’s, where the story is set, and the time period in which the story takes place. The movie title is called Up and was released on the 13th of May 2009. The names of the directors are Bob Peterson and Pete Docter.The story in which the film up is set is in South America, Paradise falls and an unknown city in America. The time period in which the story takes place starts off one day when a young boy is watching a movie about an explorer around morning and midday; the story ends with the young boy now no longer young now old sitting on a curb with an eight year old boy around morning time.

What is the conflict that drives that protagonist to act?

The conflict that drives that protagonist to act is when Carl married Ellie, they both wanted to place their house right beside paradise falls in south america, they would save up money in a glass jug but then had to use the it many times to fix things or put things together. When Ellie dies Carl has the idea of taking him and the house to paradise falls, so he attaches helium balloons to it making it float up and be able to fly places.

5. What other subplots exist which help drive the story? Who is involved and what is the conflict?

One of the subplots are the bird Kevin who was first talked about when Russell first meets Carl Fredrickson, but Kevin is not named Kevin that time Carl called ip a snype thinking it was not a real bird but later on in the movie Russell found the bird and continued to love and care for it. Russell finds out that Kevin is actually a girl not a boy because she has babies. Carl and Russell help find Kevin’s babies but get stopped by many people and animals. In the end Kevin finds her babies and in home safe. The conflict is that Charles Muntz also wants Kevin to kill and show the world that he found the
