Milkweed,”Until Then I Had Only Read About These Things in Books,” and “The Guard are stories that show how children experience life during the Holocaust. It’s clear to the readers that there are some similarities and differences about how the narrator views the Nazi’s.

There were some similarities between the stories. One similarity is the children were scared. In”Until Then I Had Only Read about These Things in Books”it said “I hated to hide and listen to them search for us. It would scare me to death. Another piece of evidence is in “The Guard” it said “Thump,Thump,my heart is racing.” This means that children were terrified that the Nazi were searching for people. Another similarity between the stories is both these stories are told in first point of view. One difference is both of them talk about different things. One talks about how they hate to hide and one is saying how they dont pay attention to the things that's going on. In “Until Then I Had Only Read about These Things in Books” it said “I hated having to hide and listen to them search for us.It would scare me to death.”And in “The Guard”it said “Thump,Thump, my heart is racing.But my feet walk as if they have nothing to fear.” This shows how the are different in the way they act toward the Nazi.They want us as the reader to see two different point of view. Another reason between two stories are one is happy to see the Nazi and one is terrified to hear the Nazi.
