When it came to writing the United States Constitution, not all of the states were on the same page on every topic. There were times when one group thought that something should be one way and another group thought it should be a different way. The only way they were both going to be happy with the matter was if they compromised, and if they didn't then either one party wouldn't be happy or the matter they were trying to solve wouldn't be fixed. Thanks to compromising, both parties were made happy and were able to make the constitution and a better government for America.
