A United Fight against Bullying
Building a safe and supportive environment is a great way to help prevent bullying and that safety needs to start in the classroom. It is important for bullying to be addressed before it affects student’s safety and their learning environment. All students and staff deserve to feel safe anywhere on campuses. Faculty and students should work together to show that bullying is not accepted. The best way to prevent bullying is to stop it before it even starts. Enlist everyone to establish a climate where bullying will not be accepted. Implementing a clear set of rules and punishments is absolutely necessary. Taking funds from other departments can take way from necessary staff and even have a negative effect on the campaign of anti-bullying when less staff is available to monitor. This would definitely cause a trickledown effect. School counselors feel that they would be the sole administrators responsible for addressing this behavior and focusing on anti-bullying programs would take away from time spent on students’ academic needs. More time and money is not needed for these programs. All teachers and staff already participate in development training every year. If anti-bullying training is incorporated into staff training days already being utilized, the responsibility is shared among all staff and no further resources are required to provide instruction to …show more content…

It has been for years and will be for many more years to come. It is happen everywhere and every school. I don’t think it will ever be stopped but helping control the problem is a step in the right direction. Teaching our students and teachers to be on the lookout and not be afraid to stand up for one another is vital. The signs of bullying are not always obvious. I school administrators, staff and students work together, and they can successfully prevent bullying and help to provide a safe and secure learning environment for everyone. No one has the right to instill fear in another person. Bullying is everyone’s problem so everyone has to be a part of the solution. Let’s make it our right to send our children to a safe and secure place to learn each and every day and the only way we can to this is by working
