In an effort to increase its efficiency Apple has tried to reduce resources and increase outputs and it has achieve it to a certain point by producing its products to China where the land, labor and raw materials are more cheaper that those to the USA. This action has had its impacts because we all think that the products made in China do not have good quality, this is to a certain extend true, but not the all truth, the real truth is that in China you can find all the quality you want from the cheapest to the best quality it depends what a company wants to produce and it depends on the costumer on what quality wants, China is able to produce all the qualities that the clients asks from the lower quality to the higher quality. At apple they know this fact and this is shown on every IPhone and IPad on the back of the device is written, along with other information “Designed by Apple in California and Assembled in China” to insure its clients that the products are checked by Apple in order to meet the standards that apple promises to its clients. Increase quality. From 2003, I have owned 3 computers and I do not remember how many cell phones I have had until now. All my prior computers operated with Windows operating system, I have tried Windows 98, Windows XP, and the last one Windows 7, but no one of these systems compares to IMac and its Lion x operating system, my first impression when I bought it was “Wow I feel like I bought an F16 military airplane”, not to talk about my IPhone the best cell phone ever, with its applications makes the cell phone an important part of your life. Another proof is that, few days ago in apple store the applications download reached the number of 25 billion, this shows that apple’s products are u... ... middle of paper ... ... Apple has transformed from a computer genius to a powerhouse of all technology. “Jobs’ genius was in impressing his visions upon people,” and with each new advice the amazement of Apple followers strengthened (“Apple Computers”). Apple has created an illusion of a perfect society. With greater, more advanced technology, people believe that the world can only continue getting better. Customers have bought so mentally into Apples mission that they cringe at seeing someone using another device brand. Not only does Apple create an easier way to get everyday tasks complete, they make it look good too, “Jobs played a directive role at Apple in the development of products that were both elegant and tasteful” (“Apple llc Computer”). In today’s society the people are brainwashed by advancements which portray nothing less than a picture-perfect society, a
In today’s world Global Corporate Social Responsibility is a pressing Topic. In most cases a collaboration between a buyer and a seller or supplier must collaborate and participate in the makeup of Corporate Social Responsibilities. According to the Business Dictionary Ethics are the proper Business Policies and practices regarding potentially controversial issues such as corporate governance insider trading, bribery, discrimination, corporate and social responsibility.
Before the introduction of Apple Technologies, PC’s and Androids were the most well-known products on the technological market, and that soon changed once Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak introduced their new toy to the public. Their “toy” will change the world forever weather they knew it or not.
From 2007 to 2011, the iPhone, 3G and 4 helped Apple sustainably positioning them self in the smart phone market. By creating a strong brand name of not only provide the most powerful device with full of latest technology (iTunes, smartphone with cameras, Face time, tough screen, high definition screen, etc.) but also make their customer’s life easier and better. As Steve Jobs pointed out that “market share wasn’t everything”, by outsourcing manufacturing Apple design their manufacturing efficiency which lower their cost; by historically paid attention to research and development, Apple spent a lot of money on their R&D investment year after year, which made them have the ability to innovation from concept to market. They know what customer want and design base on that.
Apple was introduced by Steve Jobs, entrepreneur, marketer, inventor, and technological guru, whom in the early 80’s, sold his van to help invest in his company that started in his garage. Steve built his first computer to distribute to the masses in 1984 called the classic 1984, which seems quite laughable today because of technological advancements that have occurred since then. Steve’s philosophy was to build computers so that consumers could easily navigate around using the easiest computer to use and maintain. Since the 80’s Steve has built tough, high-tech versions of many different kinds of computers advancing with technology throughout the years. Steve also incorporated many new gadgets alongside the Macintosh computer such as the iPad, iPhone, iPod, and a music website called iTunes. Today there are more than 326 stores open to the public around the world.
In the 1970s, technologies such as video cassette recorders and personal computers were revolutionizing the industry. Co-founders, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, were drawn to this technology revolution and in 1976 started Apple Computers (Abdelsamad et al., 2008). The combination of their charisma and intellect enabled them to design the Apple I computer. Today, Apple is one of the leading technology companies in the world. However, internal factors such as Apple’s unclear marketing plan, employee work life negligence, and financial-legal issues have negatively affected their performance and sullied their corporate reputation. Apple worked to correct the issues that were detracting from their performance and has had great success in recent years. However, Apple must learn to continually monitor these areas in order to achieve long-term success and retain a competitive advantage.
The company sources from all around the globe. For instance, the sourcing already covered certain Asian countries and the United States for Apple’s iPhone alone. In details, Apple Inc. purchases the CPU and video chips from Samsung, Singapore and baseband communication from Infineon, Singapore. At the same time, the iPhone’s digital camera modules, internal circuitry, connectors, Bluetooth, circuit board and casings are brought in from Taiwan while the United States only provides the iPhone’s touch screen control and the 802.11 specific parts. This clearly shows the trend of global sourcing in the Apple’s supply chain function.
Apple products can be both a blessing and a curse. It all depends on how you use them in your day-to-day routines. Anything done in excess can be unfavorable to your well-being, but in the proper doses, iPhones, iPads, and iPods can prove to be beneficial to your quality of life. The company, Apple, knows how to stay relevant in this current era of newfangled gizmos and gadgets. The future of Apple looks promising, and as long as people continue buying Apple merchandise they will remain a prime example of popular culture.
By now we should be lost in thoughts as to why China is getting a big bite of apple every passing day. Well, this is because Apple has had a goal of operating 40 apple stores in China in the space of two years as quoted by the Apple retail chief
Apple is a king in the technology world; poisoning every area of the industry that they have introduced a product too. They are slowly weeding their competition out. The only a company thrives in the thorn bush market is if they are in cahoots with apple. Apples co-founder Steve Jobs, started the company with all intention of dominating the market. The only obstacle for them is the Anti-trust law created ages ago. Apple, in their attempt to take the market over, has been racking up evidence against themselves. There reach has leaped boarders and even caught the attention of the European Union. Apple is pushing their boundaries and in the future will eventually cross the line in to monopolistic actions.
Apple was started by Steven Jobs and Stephen Wozniak, when they created their first Apple computer called Apple I, on 1st April, 1976. It was incorporated as Apple Inc. in 1977, in California. Although, Apple today is one of the biggest technology giants in the world, with yearly revenue of more than $60 billion dollars, it wasn’t always that successful. For about 20 years since its inception, it faced inconsistent sales and couldn’t break the market, in terms of market share. As is the case with any company which started as a start-up, the culture of the organization is highly influenced by and is closely associated with the founder, in this case Steve Jobs.
Apple is “the world’s most colorful company,” Linzmayer, Owen . Apple Confidential 2.0. 1st. San Francisco, CA: No Starch Press, 2004. When looking at its meager beginnings Apple’s influence on the media could only be described as unique. Their product, style, and overall beliefs make the Apple Corporation a multi-billion dollar company with a general appeal for all ages. It is getting harder and harder to be an individual, so with Apple you can “rise above the norm” and be unique. Recently, this unique corporation has taken the media by storm, with their new line of products. Right along side these new products are a full line of new commercials to go along with them. These new commercials spawned from years of creative marketing done on Apple’s part. Studying the history of Apple is necessary to understanding their influence upon us today.
Technology has become a huge part of everyday life, and people seem to have one great debate and are fighting over which is the best phone, iPhone or Android. The Apple iPhone is a cellular smartphone that was created and is maintained by Apple Inc. Android is another type of smartphone that is accessible to consumers, but the operating system is powered by Google and many different companies produce Android devices. The different operating systems and interfaces have created a long and carried out debate to which was superior. iPhone is the better phone and there are many reasons as to why it is superior to its rival, Android. The iPhone’s sleek and beautiful design has users’ hands fondling the device and never putting it down. The operating system is very distinct, but is straightforward with its functionality. People who purchase the iPhone believe that they have received their money’s worth and more when owning and iPhone. The iPhone is better than Android when compared because of the beautiful design and attractive display, the operating system and its functionality, and the device’s personal worth is definitely worth the money spent to own one.
Apple Inc. was established by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak on April 1, 1976 as a computer designer, developer and seller company. However, the company shifted its focus from only personal computer to include other consumer electronics such as portable media player and mobile phone in 2007. Apple Inc becomes one of the most popular makers in its field since it seems that its popularity has increased according to a report on www.statista.com that Apple Inc’s products sales was generally increasing throughout the first quarter of 2006 to the first quarter of 2014. On the one hand, it has increased its revenue from about 14 billion US dollars to more than 170 billion US dollars in 2013. All in all, the company is highly successful corresponding to its products’ development and their sales growth in world’s market.
