Understanding and analyzing religions are important factors of achieving a spiritual life. Christianity worldview is a worldview that guides humans towards the spiritual life. Humans are responsible to know the Christian worldview and understand its importance. This paper will discuss the characteristics of God and creations, humanity nature and purpose, causes of humans’ problems and solutions, Jesus’s identity and importance, restoration process and grace and faith importance in Christian worldview. This paper also analyzes the Christian worldview by addressing benefits and strengths of Christian belief, troublesome or confusing parts of Christianity, and influences of Christian worldview on humans’ thinking and behaviors.

Humans can find solutions to their problems by understanding Jesus’s words, which is the same as God’s words, and following his instructions. This process guides humans to reach the spiritual life which is the solution to all human’s problems. Grace and faith play important roles in humans’ salvation. Grace and faith are the first steps of entering a spiritual life. Grace and faith can be achieved through understanding Jesus which is the same as understanding God and believing in both and following their instructions. Grace and faith give freedom of physical life to humans which brings salvation. Since out thoughts determine our actions, transformation process starts from our minds. Basically, transformation is the process of changes that happens in humans’ minds and lives. In Christian worldview, transformation is the maturity of spiritual life. In other words, transformation is the change in mind and self which result in changes in life and lead to achieving the spiritual life. Christians believe that transformation of self and society starts from acknowledging and understanding Jesus’s words and following his words. Believing and understanding Christian worldview itself can change humans’ minds and thinking process regarding life and after-life greatly. This process changes humans’ behaviors in relation to God and Jesus in a way that humans will understand Jesus’s pathway which is the same as God’s. Christianity influences humans’ thinking process in a way that humans will be free of physical and material life and they will be closer to the spiritual life which is the real life. Humans’ behavior will change along with the thinking process. Behaviors and actions are attached to the thinking process, as thinking process changes the behavior and action will change too. It is clearly evident that the five principal beliefs in Christianity, the divinity and humanity of Jesus, the death and resurrection of Jesus, the nature of God and the trinity, the revelation and salvation all deeply impact on and influence the lives of its adherents.
Christianity is considered to be a living religion especially in terms of the reach for salvation. In the present through the practice of Baptism, Christians believe they die to the life of Original Sin and are born again to Christ, thus able to achieve Salvation. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis1:1.) God’s perfect wisdom created everything. In Genesis 1 and 2 we can see that God has loving and gentile nature when He created the earth and heavens. God created man in his image and we are the only creation that God breathed in the breath of life for human beings (Genesis 2:7). God did not do this for any of other creations but only for humans. The Bible has many scriptures that tell us how creative God is. Genesis 1;26 states “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” God created all of this for us to have fellowship with him.
In conclusion, it is evident that Christianity’s various beliefs regarding the relationships that exist between humanity and the supernatural dimension significantly impact the everyday lives of Christian adherents and allows them to maintain right relationship with God and others. It is through the teachings from St Paul, the commitment made in baptism and way in which an individual acts in regards to issues such as those concerning environmental ethics, that an individual is able to live out their faith in a way that they believe honours God.
The strengths of the Christian worldview is that no one has to worry about not being accepted by God. God loves all people which is why His son, Jesus Christ, died for the sins of the world not just believers. Another strength is that because God is a forgiving Lord, Christians will still have a relationship with Him even if they fall off the path of God. The weakness of the Christian faith is that it is just that, having faith in something you cannot see. Christians must hold the Bible as true and know that God is always with us even when it doesn’t feel like it. God works in mysterious ways. Christianity influences a person’s behavior because a Christian would be more aware of their actions to live a life like Jesus. A Christian may also be more prone to helping others because we are taught in the Bible to love everyone and be selfless. This paper is a comparison between two very different religions. Specifically Christianity and Buddhism. Coming from opposite sides of the globe these two religions could not be any farther apart in any aspect. I will discuss who Christ is for Christians and who Buddha is for Buddhists. I will also get into the aspects of charity, love, and compassion in both religions and I will be looking at the individual self and how christians see resurrection where the buddhists feel about the afterlife. One thing to keep in mind is that the two religions are very different but they seem to have a very similar underlying pattern. Both believe that there was a savior of their people, Buddha and Christ, and both believe that there is something good that happens to us when our time is done here on earth. This is a very generalized summarization but in order to go in to depth I need to explain the two religions more to fully convey this theory.

Understanding God in three persons is difficult. He is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. There are several aspects to consider when exploring the Christian worldview. There are many facets or denominations and they each have their own distinct beliefs and practices, but they all share the same fundamental beliefs. In this Paper we will explore the character of God, His creation, humanity and its nature, Jesus’ significance to the world, and the restoration of humanity, as well as my beliefs and the way that I interact with Christianity and my personal worldview.
According to Ninian Smart, the seven dimensions of religion include practical and ritual, emotional and experiential, narrative and mythical, ethical and legal, doctrinal and philosophical, social and institutional, and material. The practical and ritual dimension involves rituals and practices that provide spiritual awareness of adherents. The emotional and experiential dimension includes the life changing experiences that either the leaders or followers of a religion go through. Narrative and mythical dimension are the stories and past records that preserve tradition and culture in the religion. Ethical and legal dimension of the religion are basically the codes of behavior that are followed and expected within the religion. The doctrinal and philosophical dimension is the belief system created by leaders for believers. Social and Institutional dimension is the organizational structure of the religion. Last but not least the material dimension includes works of people and preservation of sacred places creating symbolic representation of traditional beliefs. Using these seven dimensions, we will explore how they can be interpreted in the religion of Christianity.
Throughout the history of humankind, man has always searched to find answers to the many existential questions. Numerous different religions and denominations have developed around the world over time. Though, most wonder about the origin and purpose of our existence. Buddhism was founded on the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama about 2,600 years ago in India. After he had experienced that everyone was subject to “birth, sickness, death, and old age”, he tried to find a way to break from the cycle of rebirth (Bloom). Siddhartha Gautama experimented with a number of methods to find the cause of suffering which led him to what he called the Middle Way – a path between “licentiousness and extreme mortification” (Bloom). Once he achieved enlightenment, he turned into ‘the Buddha – the enlightened or awakened one’. Christianity is one of the largest and most prevailing religions of the world and largely based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Christians trust that Jesus was sent by God to save humanity. Therefore, the faith of the followers of the Christian belief is primarily based on the preaching of Jesus and later the spreading of those by his disciples. Although Buddhism and Christianity show several parallels, their three key differences are that Buddhists do not believe in one divine being, and have different views about both the purpose of life and the concept of afterlife.
The rise of Christianity in western civilization is arguably among the most important memories in history. There is no denying what the spread of Christianity has done for the world, for better or worse. Its impact on western civilizations is unrivaled and unprecedented. Second and third, the life and teachings of Christ and Buddha will be respectively examined as their idea of salvation is significantly embedded within their scriptures. Lastly, the salvation that Christ compromises, and the salvation that Buddha teaches will be compared and evaluated.
