I am more of a type A personality and the color that best represents me from the test is red. I chose to give this personality test to a good guy friend of mine and he has a type B personality as well as blue best representing him. I thought that giving this test to a guy would allow me to see where he stands in terms of his personality and how a color could really describe him as a person. He has been a great friend of mine for more than 5 years and having him complete this test will see if how he is as a person directly correlates to a specific personality type and color.
Seeing that I am a red personality makes most perfect sense to me when I look at all the other descriptions for the other colors. Growing up, I was always a leader and not so much of a follower. I extremely vocal about things I liked and

More often, it is me telling him that he needs to be more proactive and not let people run all over him. Being that is he so nice and always saying yes when others ask him to do them a favor, some but not all are taking advantage of his kindness. He is always willing to assist his friends and family before thinking about himself. Since we have such a close friendship, if something is bothering us, we just text each other to meet and talk over some boba to drink and discuss what is bothering us and how we could fix it. Again, I am a very open minded person so I can most of the time, try to see why he thinks a certain way and give him the benefit of the doubt. As for miscommunications, it is less confrontations and more just talking about the situation and how it became a miscommunication in the first place. Miscommunications are less common because we grew up together and went to the same middle school and high school so we read each other pretty
Type A Personality or Type A Behavior Pattern (TABP) include typical responses of competitiveness, time urgency, and hostility. Type A’s normally strive towards a goal without feeling a sense of joy in their efforts or accomplishments. They also seem to be in a constant struggle against the clock and become impatient with any delays and unproductive time. Type A’s also tend to see the worse in others and display anger, envy and lack of compassion (McLeod, 2017).
An emerging trend among today’s employers is the increased focus on the personality traits of their employees. Whether that focus is on the ability to hire the right person by predicting job performance, or discovering the right “fit” for an employee in a team, a company’s success may depend on these factors. Creating the right team based for the best success of the team is crucial. However, due to project constraints, abilities, market place, etc, the ability to pair the right individuals may not be available.
Up until Last Tuesday, I did not know what a personality type was, and thought that the Myers-Briggs test only covered IQ. Fortunately for me, Last Tuesday, September 25th, happened. From there, I learned of 16 personality types, consisting of various combinations of letters forming a group. There are two options per “slot”, limiting the amount of combinations in terms of mathematics. But, that’s a good thing, or else the world would be a chaotic place with there being twice as much, or even more personality types. A typical combination of letters would be something like my combination, “ENFJ”, or “Extroverted Intuitive Who Feels with Judgement”. Yes, they are acronyms, sort of. How the Acronym forms depends
What is personality? How does it relate to Blacks? These are just a few of the questions that might surface when researching human personality. According to Webster's Dictionary, personality is the "totality of qualities and traits, as of character or behavior that are peculiar to a specific person." Personality is characterized by the collective character, behavioral, temperamental, emotional, and mental traits of a person. While personality relates to all persons, when studying Black personality, one must take into consideration the experiences of the African community as a whole.

In the past two weeks, I have learned quite a bit about my personality. I have learned that I am a Blue-Gold personality and that I am also a 2-9 personality. The first of these two I found out from the True colors Personality Quiz. I had taken this quiz this summer as camp and got near results to what I did this time. This time I tied for the colors blue and gold, while this summer I scored one point higher on blue than gold. The second of these two types of personality identifiers came from The Enneagram test which uses numbers as an unbiased grouping system. I had never taken this test and it was interesting to see how many of the numbers I corresponded with. My main two were numbers two and nine, but numbers one, four, and six were all
In the day to day life, experiences and connections are made. Many things that occur in one’s life can all stem from their individual personality, but interpreting how one’s personality guides their life presents a difficult challenge. Many actions, quirks, and patterns that a person has are easily noted due to the ability to see it, but the puppeteer behind these habits is an individual’s personality. A certain personality type can affect the perception of certain events and the reactions/feelings to certain outcomes. While one person might see a situation as dreadful, another may see it entirely different. We tend to find ourselves side by side with people we see similarities between due to a parallel in certain traits, but no two individuals are exactly the same based on differences in personality. Success is hinged on many things and one of those things is the development of self-awareness. To know oneself is key to tackling on intimidating tasks and situations, but to also grow in terms of knowledge and synergy. In my attempt to
There are five different traits of personality. They are openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. To find out how each of these different types applied to me. I took a five-minute test which gave me results for each of these types of personality. In this essay I will describe each of these types of personality traits and I will explain how each of them pertains to me.
Accepting the differences of others is one of the most difficult things to do. We all have our style, our own preferences, and our own way of dealing with the challenges of life. On one hand, those differences can lead to miscommunication, misunderstandings, and a decline in company morale. However, if we approach these differences with understanding versus criticizing, it would greatly bridge the gap and have a positive impact on everyone involved. Needs work
There are many types of diverse people classified under various categories. Some people have different types of personalities. They could be classified as extremely manipulative, others as impulsive, and some may not show anything on the outside and have wonderful social skills. These categories help in the understanding of humans. This study is called Psychology and there are many different subfields in this diverse study of the people around us. One subfield that is particularly interesting is personality psychology. Personality psychology is a branch of psychology that studies personality and its variation between individuals.
Our personalities are what distinguish us from each other beyond our appearance; without them, we would all behave and react in the same way. Personality is the reason we are outgoing or introverted, persistent or blaze, and anxious or calm. We each have different levels of these competing characteristics that make us unique. But why are personalities so varied? Personality is determined by an array of factors from genetic and biological to the personal experiences and decisions we have faced from the day we are born. The complexity of our personalities cannot be simply explained, and for this reason there exists many different theories of how it’s developed and personality is still deeply under study. I went into this subject with an open-mind
Taking a personality test is something that I have had to do a few times. First in college while going for my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, then while attending Airman Leadership School, and finally for this class. Taking these test all three times I have received similar if not the same results so I think that I have answered these truthful each time. Some of the tests that were required for this class were more in depth, taking 82 sub test
Personality takes many shapes and forms and is affected by many factors. My understanding of personality is simply a genetic and environmentally determined set of psychological traits that influence our reactions in the world around us. Genetic because our parents possess a certain set of psychological personality traits that we tend to have in common with them so therefore in my opinion there are heritable personality traits. Personality is environmental because we each have our own separate experiences in the world and these experiences help form our unique personality. Neo-Freudians such as Jung have given us a wide array of ideas of how they believe personality is developed and formatted. Jung in particular has a very interesting
The relationship between personality and behavior. Does our personality cause the behavior to stay calm or go on a rampage? People all over the world have different types of disorders and a certain disorder is called a personality disorder. Arguments from researchers have been made whether or not with someone who has a personality disorder has anger problems and is a danger to others (Davison, 2012). Behavioral problems come from social-cultural influences such as presence of others, the media and peer influences (Myers, 2014).
