This should only be done twice a week for about 20 to 45 minutes. Anything else can be extremely harmful, especially for a Type A. According to Ann Louise Gittleman (2005) when strength training Type A’s should use the SuperSlow protocol in which the weight is lifted in about 10 seconds and lowered in half that amount of time.
The third exercise is swimming. Go to your local community center and swim laps for 30 to 45. You can do this a few times a few or even daily to help reduce stress. In the same manner you can also try walking, hiking, biking, rowing, and stretching (Gittleman, 2005).
