In 2006, I was diagnosed with Type I diabetes. It was my sincere belief that this was the direct result of me having to take the Anthrax Vaccine. Research has shown that there are clinical trials in animals and humans that show a correlation between that of Anthrax and that of susceptibility of Type I Diabetes. At the time of taking the vaccine, I had believed that the military was trying to protect its soldiers against potential risks overseas, however, the perceived harmful experiences would not be realized for several years after. Life's Harmful Experiences I spent the early years of my adolescence in service to our country and in defense of our freedoms each of us enjoy daily. After 7 years of being away from friends and family, I decided it was time to settle down and let my service contract lapse on 5/25/2006. Enjoying my temporary time off between jobs, I began to experience pain in my back, waking up with sudden urges to urinate, and mood swings. My wife encouraged me to go to the ER when these symptoms became unbearable. One evening on June 16, 2006, my wife took me to the ER. My research led me to a several articles published by former military members and some by the Veteran’s Administration themselves. ("Congress Told Military Vaccines Linked to Diabetes, Anthrax Vaccine a Risk", 2015) These articles speculated that the Anthrax vaccine, that so many members were required to be inoculated with, were causing an adverse reaction that tricked the white blood cells into attacking the pancreas inside our bodies.
