Two Little Girls in Blue
I chose to read a book entitled, Two Little Girls in Blue by Mary Higgins Clark because I have read a few more of her books, and I found them very exhilarating and suspenseful. This book follows those same traits.
Steve and Margaret Frawley are the proud parents of two little girls, Kelly and Kathy. It is their third birthday. Kelly and Kathy are both wearing matching little blue dresses that their mother had picked out for this special occasion. Both little girls, hand in hand, sit in front of their birthday cake, which has a big "3" candle in the middle, and with all their might, they blow out the flame of the candle together.
The night of the twin's birthday party, Steve and Margaret attend a black tie dinner in New York. When Margaret is unable to reach the babysitter, they return home to find their lawn covered with Ridgefield police officers, their babysitter lying on the floor, unconscious, and their two little girls missing. They find a note, left by the kidnappers, that demands eight million dollars ransom.
After the kidnapping, Harry and Bert had driven back to the little cottage, on the property of the Danbury Country Club. They brought Kathy and Kelly inside, where they handed them over to Mona, the babysitter during the kidnapping. Mona was Harry's girlfriend, and he had known that she had babysitting experience; she was ideally perfect for the job.
Pied Piper, which was the name of the kidnapper, tells then that once the ransom had been received, he would the reveal the location of the girls.
The Frawleys would never have enough money to pay the ransom, but fortunately, Steve's firm, C.F.G. & Y, agrees to pay the ransom. They follow the Pied Piper's instructions very carefully, to ensure the safe returns of the twins. Once Pied Piper confirmed the transaction, he told then the whereabouts of the two little girls.
According to the Pied Piper, Kathy and Kelly would be in a parked car behind a deserted restaurant. When they arrived at the car, they found only Kelly in the car. The driver, Bert, was dead from a gunshot wound in the head. He left a suicide note saying that he had accidentally killed Kathy and dropped her body in the ocean.
Once Kelly is returned home safely, the family decides that they need to have a private memorial Mass for Kathy.
On the way over to burglarize the home, the group of 5 juveniles rode their bikes and stop on the way to feed some ducks, then dumped their bikes in some bushes. At the last minute, two of the five juveniles took off. Leaving behind Kane, who didn’t want to be labeled a scaredy-cat, and 19 year old Alvin Morton and 17 year old Bobby Garner. The group of juveniles expected the house to be empty, but found 75 year old Madeline Weisser, and her son 55 John Bowers were in fact at home.
What I liked most about it was reading from two different perspectives and how those different perspectives met through the book.
If you ask people, what their favorite book is, they will answer right away. Ask them why that book, most of the responses are because it marked their life or it relates closely to what they are living. "Dark Inside" by Jeyn Roberts is one of those books that marks people's lives. This book makes you see life in a different perspective. This literature should be recommended and shared with people because it makes you rethink about yourself and see the world in a different light.
Book keep me interested and made me want to keep reading. I really don’t know if I would read
Each clue that they would find would only help them very little. He had to carefully put all the pieces of the clues together so that he could figure out where Rainie was. The one clue that told where she is was the ransom note the kidnapper sent to the police. That was his undoing.

I enjoyed the novel The Scarlet Pimpernel. It was filled with adventure and I liked how both conflicts were resolved at the end. I chose this book because Mrs. Donius recommended it to me. She said she loved it and it was one of her favorites. I would recommend this book to a wide range of readers. Anyone from the age of thirteen and older could enjoy this novel.
