Cedar Point This Personal Narrative is going to be about the time when I went to Cedar Point. In the first paragraph I will write about the ride to cedar point. In the second paragraph I will write about Cedar Point. In the last paragraph I will write about the ride home. In 7th grade i took band, and if you take band they have a reward program to where if you stay in band and have a c or higher in band you get to go to Cedar Point. The ride to cedar point took a long time because we had to go all the way to Sandusky, Ohio, it took about 3-4 hours. During the ride it was kind of noisy and we had to wake up at 3am to be able to go, and i was very tired, so i tried to fall asleep and i did, but i woke up to the bus hitting a big bump and my face smacking the seat. Handshoe had to get all of the tickets and drink bracelets. Next we got inside and Me, Landon, and Zach got a locker so we didn't have to carry around our bags all day. So the we go to our first ride of the day but Zach was to scared to get on anything so he just waited, we got on the Corkscrew, and it had a ton of twists and turns. After that we just walked around for a while, but then landon got to scared to get on anything else and so it was just me. So me and Landon were supposed to go on this ride called the Magnum, so i got into one of the cars and then i told Landon to come on and he said ha ha, no, and so i was stuck on this ride all by myself and i was kinda scared. After what landin did to me i just found another group to ride rides with and so i found Brandon Chase's group and just rode rides with them and Bradlee Kinnard, We rode The Rougarou, The Millennium Force, and a ton of other rides, and while on most of the rides i lost my voice and got sunburned. Wisconsin Dells was better than Six Flags because my family stayed longer. We were in Wisconsin Dells for four days, but we were only at Six Flags for two days. Because we were in the Dells longer, my family was able to create more memories. Six Flags may have had more attractions inside the park itself, but I felt rushed and did not enjoy my time there as much. The length of time my family spent in Wisconsin also gave us the ability to experience the numerous attractions found outside of the park.
I woke up early in the morning with pure excitement. Today, I was heading to Cedar Point with my long time close friend, Sarah. The sun was shining, it was the perfect mood to go to an amusement park. My mom and I drove through the flat cornfields of Ohio, to her farmhouse. Once I picked up Sarah, we were headed to America’s Rockin’ Roller-Coast also known as Cedar Point. Cedar Point is on a peninsula surrounded by the fresh waters of Lake Erie located . It's actually quite nice, if you don't include the often high winds which often force the employees to close the rides due to the high risk of liability and the frequent nats. The Dragster is sitting smack dab in the middle of the park's midway. The height makes the dragster something that you can’t miss, especially on the causeway.
On the way to camp Kangaroobie we went to Mr Mcguane’s farm. The year 5 bus broke down so we came late. When we got there, we walked around this little river skipping rocks and getting stuck in the mud. When we arrived at camp, went to our cabins, and I was with, Emily, Felicia, Sarah, Grace and Klara, we packed our bag and went for a walk down to the beach! It was really fun because we went across rivers and walked through the sand dunes! When we got there, we jumped off and slid down the sand
My youth pastor pulled out of our church parking lot at three am in the morning loaded down with a bus full of twenty four teenagers including me. We were off at last head to Colorado Spring Colorado, little did I know, our bus was going to fall apart this very day.
Over sixty days have passed since I left with the others from my homeland on the Mayflower, sailing along the Atlantic passageway in search of new beginnings. The journey at sea was treacherous, but not deathly, though our morale was quite shaken from the storms. The ship’s main hull was breached, but thankfully the ship remained intact for the rest of the course with just a few temporary repairs. Originally, we were headed to dock in Virginia with the other settlers, but the gales and squalls of the sea have steered our path elsewhere north amidst the land. Just shortly after we landed shore, a team was dispatched to explore where they named the area Plymouth Rock, just west of Cape Cod Bay. And now, the others and I have stepped foot on a sandy beach in this part of the New World, ready to form a fresh start.
My best friend and I were so excited, we were going to Six Flags some where we haven’t been in years. Around this time we were twelve years old and thought we were the most adventurous people in the world. The night before going to Six Flags I spent the night over her house. My best friend and I couldn’t stop talking about the rides we would get on, which one would be first and what we were going to eat.
We sat down, on the ride, and the warm bars hugged around our chest. . I screamed one million times more than the little kids sitting next to me. The day went on and the sweet winds danced through the air. The excitement of Bailey, I, and the other people grew as we approached the bigger rides. After riding everything, the sky was starting to go to sleep. Because my stomach was in a whirl, I had to face my fear. We were standing in line of the Top Thrill Dragster. When I was standing there I was nervous with big eyes and my jaw wide open it could touch the ground.
In the Chronicles of Narnia, by C. S. Lewis, Prince Caspian once said "Day by day, nothing changes, but when you look back, everything is different." Looking back at the past four years, I find this statement to hold especially true. After flipping through my high school yearbooks, I recall the memories of the time spent at Berks Catholic. For me, high school has been a roller coaster of experiences, good and bad. From trying questionable school lunches and struggling to remember what day number it is, to discovering lifelong friends and daydreaming in class, high school at Berks Catholic was a time to remember in more ways than one. Two of the most important things that stood out during my high school days were earning my Eagle Scout rank
From the soft sound of passing cars outside my window....the decadent and delicious peanut butter and chocolate covered Kandy Kakes....the sun beating down on me while I watch the fighting Phillies in Citizen Bank Park; there is no place I would rather be than in Philadelphia. The memories that I hold from my past have been the secret tools I used to make my writing unique. Writers tend to feed off of personal experiences to fuel their writing. That idea has been the cornerstone of my writing process so far this semester. My writing is inspired by what I know and my hometown of Philadelphia has been the linking factor throughout my work.
I lost my shoes that night to cause they fell off in the lake so my mom had to make me some it was pretty funny. I wouldn't say it was the best experience, but it sure wasn't the worst. Now for the funny part, Some of my worst experiences. i was about eleven so not that long ago we were down in the racetrack area we had found and we hadn't been there for a while and noticed there was a hill of rocks about four feet high so we decided to ride up them because it was flat on the top. I was scared like normal, so my grandpa said “ why don't you go ahead and do the throttle?” I was okay with that so I got ready my grandpa was behind me ready to steer and right when I pushed the throttle I pushed just a little too much and we tipped the four wheeler on top of us, we were crushed between the rocks and the four wheeler for about ten minutes and now when I run I think that's why my knee messes up all the time cause I got a rock stuck in it. Another experience is I was riding my sister around I was ten, she was five I had her up front so she would be safe and we pulled into the driveway because i needed a drink. We stopped and my mom got us a drink, I was turned around talking to my grandpa on the four wheeler no one was paying attention to my sister and while we were talking she pressed the throttle and we crashed into the
I put all of my bag and my suitcase into the car and then came in to eat dinner. After eating and watching tv for a bit we headed to the school where we are supposed to meet for the buses. When we got there it was 8 o’clock and starting to get dark and cold outside. We all met in the gym with our parents and waited for a half an hour before the teachers started letting the students loading there bags and suitcases onto the bus. After saying our goodbyes to our parents we got on the bus and started to head to D.C. The bus ride there it was pretty boring since everyone was tired from the school day so most of us past out including me. After a few hours of sleeping, the bus stopped at a bus station so that everyone could use the restroom and once I got off the bus I had a loss of balance since my eyes didn 't want to open from sleeping so I couldn 't see where I was going most of the time. But I managed to use the restroom and get back to my seat alright. Once I sat down I fell right
Are we there yet? Just one more hour. It was a long drive from Dearborn to Sandusky. My brothers were asleep and I was tired. My family was going to Kalahari for the very first time. We were planning on staying in the hotel for one night and one day. I was extremely excited about going because I saw many different rides on YouTube. I was also kind of nervous. It was a nice warm summer day in Sandusky when we had arrived at Kalahari.
One of the most memorable bus experiences in my life happened when I was in fifth grade. The final bell at school had rung, so I sprinted out to the bus with a few of my friends to save seats since our bus was always crowded. After we flung our backpacks into the four back seats, we ran back inside the school to buy some Mountain Dew from the pop machine in the cafeteria. After jamming our quarters into the machine and snatching the cans out of the bin, we sprinted back outside to make sure we did not miss the bus. It was still there, in all its yellow glory, so we hurried through the doors and onto the bus.
My favorite summer vacation was when my Father took me to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. What made it even more memorable was the fact that it was my very first time on an airplane. I cannot recall another time in my life when I experienced so much joy. That trip to Universal Studios was the first time my Father and I actually did something together, just the two of us and was something brought me close to my Father. In this essay I will tell you about my plane ride over there, what I did right when I got there, and about my time at Universal Studios.
One of the most enjoyable things in life are road trips, particularly to the Colorado mountains. Getting to spend time with your family and friends, while being in a beautiful place, is irreplaceable. The fifteen-hour road trip may feel never-ending, but gazing at the mountains from afar makes life’s problems seem a little smaller and causes worries to become a thing of the past. Coming in contact with nature, untouched, is a surreal experience. My family trip to the Colorado mountains last summer was inspiring.
