If the width of the side of the tray is represented by the letter w
then we have:

So The volume of the tray = w (18cm - 2w)(18cm -2w)

Kathy Harrison starts her personal story happily married to her childhood sweet heart Bruce. Kathy was living a simple life in her rural Massachusetts community home as the loving mother of three smart, kind, well-adjusted boys Bruce Jr., Nathan, and Ben. With the natural transitions of family life and the changes that come with career and moving, she went back to work as a Head Start teacher. Her life up until the acceptance of that job had been sheltered an idyllic. Interacting in a world of potluck suppers, cocktail parties, and traditional families had nothing in common with the life she would choose after she became a Head Start teacher.

Question; Does everyone understand that the size of the pieces is important to consider when the fractions that are being compared are under the
Let me first start off by saying this is a beautiful piece! It amazes me how the artist, Carl Rice Embrey, incorporated different painting styles and techniques into this painting. he simply did not just paint two chairs in kitchen but put a lot of thought into his work. I do understand and see where people compare his work to other artist such as Andrew Wyeth. They both have the same idea when it comes to painting landscapes although, there is a big difference. Carl paints landscape more scenic, and realistic whereas Andrew’s looks more animated. Carl’s work is also compared to Franz Kline. Even though it is two totally opposite paintings Carl adopted the style that Franz uses in his paintings to the shadows of the chairs

Throughout the course of this class, there have been many assignments involving short stories, however, Hands by Sherwood Anderson is a short story that I found intriguing. Hands is a short story about a man who was an educator who loved his student and his career. Later in his career he was wrongfully accused of molesting a young boy and as a punishment he was severely beaten by the boy’s father and run out of town. Sherwood Anderson published this short story in 1919 and in my opinion wrote a story that evokes every component in which a short story should contain. According to Wikipedia a short story is generally written in narrative prose and falls under 7,500 words, making short story writing an art because it must contain so many components to create and complete story.

I continued my observations on the dining halls on Thursday march 3 and Friday march 4 at Harcombe and Schilletter dining halls during the afternoon. I came in like any other day and started to observe people. I kept on seeing the same isolation between people. I noticed that most people act polite but this is just something automatic that comes out of everyone like saying hello or thank you but with no real meaning. Again even for these greetings the phones or some other type of distraction were involved that made people have little visual contact and then just walk away. So this was just another example of how the behavior of people is affected by technology.
They are all words that describe one pretty innocuous thing: the thing that covers the hard cardboard cover of a book. The book jacket was developed for practical purposes only: to protect books from dust, insects and other harmful entities. However, as years progressed, the book jacket has become a separate part of the book itself and the reading experience. The book jacket has morphed into not only an addendum used to help sell the book, but also into a piece of art in and of itself. Classic books such as Ralph Ellison's The Invisible Man , Joseph Heller's Catch-22 and newer titles such as Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park and Chuck Palahniuk's Lullaby . There's even a celebrity book jacket designer in our midst; it's hard to miss Chip Kidd and his eclectic and eye catching designs gracing the shelves of bookstores and libraries across the country and the world. The book jacket has come a long way since its early inception as a protector of books; it has become the first step in the reading experience.
Imagine working out of town, Driving through town hungry and in a hurry. Going into a restaurant, waiting for your food can be a hassle. Lazy, but busy Americans just go to McDonalds. Fifteen minutes later the quarter pounder and fries with soda are all gone. McDonalds is famous for its American style burger and fries. Most people do not need to imagine this because McDonalds gets thousands of customers like this everyday. McDonalds is using many different factors to pull Americans in their restaurants and as a result, encourage unhealthy eating habits.
