Travel Itinerary to Switzerland

The business meetings are set in two main cities in Switzerland, Zurich and Bern. There has been meetings set every day during the duration of the stay. Each meeting will last up to three hours, at either the conference room at the hotel or at a restaurant. There will be free time after the meetings. This time should be utilized to visit the major cities in Switzerland, and gain rich cultural experience from the visitation.

Upon traveling to Switzerland from The United States for a three day business trip, a visa is not necessary (Traveling Information, 158). However, a valid, unexpired US passport is required (Traveling Information, 158).

The round trip flight from Houston, Texas, to Zurich, Switzerland will take place with Swissair. Swissair has been the Switzerland’s major airline since 2002 (Swissair, 1). When traveling from Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) to Zurich Airport (ZRH), a layover in Washington Dulles Airport (IAD) in Dulles, Virginia cannot be avoided (Swissair, 1). Including the 2 hour connection time in Dulles, the total travel time from Houston to Zurich is 13 hours and 30 minutes (Swissair, 1). The roundtrip cost of business-class seats totals to roughly USD $7800 to $8200 (Swissair, 1).

Swissair business-class accommodations have numerous benefits. Being a business-class passenger has its advantage, such as priority check-in at a separate desk, in addition to priority boarding so there is no waiting time to board the aircraft (Swiss Business, 1).
