In addition to leaving urine and foul droppings everywhere, which transmits various diseases like salmonella and leptospirosis, rats also eat fabrics, rubber and wood; hence, wreaking havoc to your properties. Rat bites and scratches may also cause rat-bite fever and bubonic plague—a dangerous rat-borne disease that has killed millions of people during the Middle Ages.
