children to experience the absence of a father as I experienced it. These values of my life are the ones that are guiding my behaviors in my decision making. Having the opportunity to receive funds to pay for my college tuition is a societal value that influences my behavior. I come from a country that only the rich can attend college because there is no financial aid or scholarships that can help the poor attend college. However, living in a country where all those opportunities are available, it is impossible to not take advantage of the opportunity. Goldsmith (2013) explains that traditional values are those set by the society where people reside. In my case, receiving funds to pay for my tuition is the traditional value I am experiencing. For example, if I enroll as fulltime student I will be able to graduate sooner than expected and I will have valuable time with my family. I might end up sacrificing precious time with my children and my wife in the process of having full time school, but the outcome of it would be rewarding. Another attribute that my decision making has is that my family could have extra finances to pay bills with the scholarships and grants that I could get for being a fulltime student.
