Toyota Gives Scholarships for Black Students in the US
The car maker is honoring MLK by investing in education. Toyota Financial Services is supporting Historically Black Colleges and Universities and their communities. The company gave $60,000 grants to the Tom Joyner Foundation and 5 other institutions. These scholarships helped many students get and complete their college educations.

The Jackie Robinson Foundation is a national, non-profit organization that gives scholarships to minority youth for higher education, as well as preserving the legacy of the Baseball Hall of Famer, Jackie Robinson. The foundation provides four-year college scholarships in conjunction with a comprehensive set of skills and opportunities to disadvantaged students of color, to ensure their success in college and to help develop their leadership potential. This four-year hands-on program includes: peer and professional mentoring, internship placement, extensive leadership training, community service options, and international travel along with myriad networking opportunities. Throughout the course, I have discussed numerous aspects of Toyota Motors Corporation. This company is very successful within the automotive manufacturing industry, despite their numerous issues based on product recalls and unethical standards.
