My girlfriend and I began to date a few months ago. Before that, I ended a long relationship that made me really bitter for a while, but I soon started to meet new people. I felt great chemistry from the first moment I introduced myself to her at a dinner party at my friend’s house. She seemed to me like a very nice and thoughtful person, and we ended going out the next night to see a movie. That is when we started our relationship. Because of my previous experience, I was determined to make this one work. But, now I feel like a divide is growing between us, and it’s starting to bother me. When we go out, it seems to me that my girlfriend completely avoids touching me. When we spend time alone at home, everything is fine, but in public, I almost feel like she has an issue with any kind of physical touch. What can this mean and what should I do in these kinds of situations? I would really like to stay with this girl, but this problem is slowly starting to trouble me. Mark, Colorado.
