Life is what we make it. Live so there are answers you will want to hear. Live with purpose. Purposes are all around us. Live so that when there are regrets, it is because your adventure here on earth is ending, and not because you left things undone, unsaid, or unaccomplished. The best leaders address the connection between people, strategy, and results in an organization by communicating the significance of the company’s work in a way that people understand the value of their work and how important their work performance is to the success of the company. When leaders clearly communicate a shared vision to everyone of an organization, they elevate the human spirit. People want to make a difference and know that the time they spent here on earth had a purpose. Leadership is not about just about your own values it is also about the values of the people in your organization. As a whole, Warren Bennis defined the values and achievement plan for becoming the most successful leader one can be. He highlighted the link between self knowledge and business. A leader is not just “doing a job” or “running a company,” but it’s finding one’s personal vision. Bennis tries to do as much as he possibly he can to shatter this myth. Today, more people are starting to learn what leadership exactly means and what is expected of a leader. It might be evident that in the future competition will be harder
Leaders: Strategies for Taking Charge is an organizational management book written by Warren Bennis and Burt Nanus for those who aim to become better leaders. The authors emphasize that having executive positions or being a manager does not automatically make one a leader. A leader is one who inspires his staff, help them find purpose in their work, and effectively implement their plans. They separate the book not quite into chapters on different topics, but rather by four strategies that they have determined are vital for any leader to take on. The strategies are effectively concluded as attention through vision, meaning through communication, trust through positioning, and the deployment of self. A prominent feature of Leaders is the various

Leadership is not a one-way linear event in which only the leader affects the followers but a process through which leaders influence and they are affected by their followers. It is undisputable truth that the success or failure of an enterprise is dependent on the presence of a visionary leader who is able to offer direction in achieving the business’s objectives. Leaders are known to inspire and instill a sense of dedication and zeal to their followers which are principles crucial for success. There is tendency to view leadership in the context of highly successful business enterprises in the world that has led to the misconception that leaders are great and famous people. Successful corporations in the world have relied on the genius of their leaders to succeed. Nonetheless, in response to the changing global business environment and operations, the need for individual leaders or teams has increased significantly. The external business environment has become increasingly dynamic with uncertainty and demands for change being the two major issues faced by corporations.
I know my guiding principles and that I have a voice but tend to not express it. Creating a leadership philosophy helped with voicing my values and what I believed in so in the future I can clearly state them to my co-workers or teammates. Though a leader should know their own values and guiding principles it doesn’t stop there, it matters what others values or guiding principles are too. If a leader can understand others values and differences, they can align their colleagues’ values with their own. This makes it easier to agree on decisions if everyone shares the same values because if not, it will create conflict and false expectations.
Leaders are the individuals who help to create options and opportunities. They help in identifying the choices and solve the problems. They build commitment and coalitions. Leaders do this by inspiring others and working along with them to construct the shared vision of the possibilities and commitments of a better group, organization or community. They engage the followers in such a way that most of the followers become leaders in their own right. The variety of demands of an increasingly complex world very often require that leadership be shared by most of the members of an organization, in appropriate ways for different situations. Although I have many core values, including diligence, happiness, helpfulness, true friendship, freedom, and intelligence, the most significant in my life are love, morality, honesty, and forgivingness. Throughout my life, these particular values have proved key to becoming the person I wished to be. “The term leadership involves our self-images and moral codes” (Values in Leadership). In order to lead and to be someone who upholds their values, one must be fully aware of what is important to them and what drives them.
A leader will know what direction they want their organization to go. They will have clearly communicated their vision to their followers. In order to achieve successful results for their vision an effective leader will have a well organized, detailed plan delegating important tasks to the appropriate people who will assist in achieving the vision.
We as humans have developed a form of society in which everyone has a purpose and a job they must do. In some circumstances, we are unhappy with the path we have chosen or are given. We all wish to make a change, yet we never seem to stand up to our leaders and change this; we follow the cultural norms even if we don’t like or understand them. The basis of this idea is out of fear of the unknown. People tend to be afraid of that which they have not experienced; an oxymoronic device negating our obligation to discover and innovate.

Leaders of the future will be faced with many challenges. As the world changes, we must adapt the ways in which we face these challenges, and in turn grow as leaders. A leader is not merely someone which commands a group or organization. A good leader exhibits the ability to take an average team of individuals and achieve greatness. Leadership is not supervision or leading. It is the ability to inspire or influence others towards the end goal. Good leaders must utilize all of these traits in order to meet the challenges of the future. A few emerging challenges that future
