The castle for sale is called the, Château de la Villeursir. The Château de la Villeursir was built in around the 1300s in Paris,France. The castle was previously owned by a wealthy lord by the name of James Villeursir. The price range for the Château de la Villeursir is up to 500 florins. We believe the Château de la Villeursir has everything you're looking for in a castle especially protection from enemies. First, walking up the Château de la Villeursir you can see the green grass around the beautiful crystal blue water of the Moat surrounding the castle. Then you notice a tall wall of brown colored stones. Just above the Moat is the Drawbridge made up of a fine crisp wood perfectly cut with black chains connecting it to the wall. You then enter through the walls to place you in the Bailey. The Bailey is known as the courtyard or large area of land for any uses of the castle. You look around the Bailey to see a well used for getting water and other necessary items for castle life. The well and items are included with the castle. After, exploring the Bailey you approach the Keep, which is a taller fortification that is used as an abode or living quarters. The Keep is also used for defense because it is higher off the ground, and in an area where one can see all fighting positions.You walk to the top of the Keep where you can view every spot in the castle. At the top of the Keep you see what are known as merlons and embrasures. Which are the structures at the top of fortifications that were used for battle This castle also comes with Arrow Loops, a bow shaped hole in the walls where arrows are able to be shot through. Machicolations are included in the Château de la Villeursir. These are window like structures with a cover allowing you to drop deadly objects on your enemy. The Château de la Villeursir is not only good for defense, but provides you with plenty of space in and outside. Many say that living in a castle is a hundred times better than living on a manor. The Old Palace was a medieval building that was destroyed by fire in 1834. After the fire, a competition was held for architects to submit plans for the new building that should be in a Gothic or Elizabethan style hoping to embody the conservative values of England. A Royal commission chose Charles Barry’s designs for a Perpendicular Gothic palace. Barry’s own style was more classical than Gothic which is why Augustus Pugin’s involvement was so crucial in Barry winning the competition. Barry’s plans reflected more of his knowledge of the neo-classical style through its symmetry. Pugin was the leading authority on Gothic architecture at the time.
