I am interested in joining Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated in light of the fact that you provide an excellent avenue to assisting numerous communities. After my first year at Bowie State University I started doing my research and none of the others organizations possessd the devotion and empathy for accomplishing and helping other people like Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. I am a persevering, strong, God fearing young lady and I feel that I embody a lot of the same qualities that your adored 22 founders build this perstigous organization on.
I am writing to express my strong interest in being a member of Alpha Omicron chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi. I am currently a sophomore at Syracuse University, and will be graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Global Political Economy.
The purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha is to promote sisterhood in colleges to assure a bond between college women, and the sorority leads by being an example for other college women to follow. Alpha Kappa Alpha also promotes higher education and positive self-esteem to younger women. Alpha Kappa Alpha also gives back to the community in community service that could range from educating our women on relevant topics to just lending a hand in the community. I want to contribute to this purpose at Mississippi State University and back in my hometown.
In conclusion, Kappa Delta is the best sorority on our campus. We are proud of our history and our commitment to helping others. Our philanthropies mean everything to us. We try our best to help better serve them and their cause. We try our best to uphold our values that will benefit us throughout our lives. Being confident is the best feeling in the world. When I joined Kappa Delta, I was a shy and awkward teenage girl. Now that I have been in the sorority for some time I have become a strong, independent, and self-assured woman. The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Delta Omega Omega Chapter hosted the 49th Annual Debutante Cotillion on Saturday, December 17, 2016. Forty-two young ladies dressed in formal white gowns danced a Traditional Waltz with their fathers and escorts after a formal introduction to society. This year’s theme for the Cotillion was, “Cultured Pearls in a Winter Wonderland”.

The founders paved the way for future sorority members to take into heed and have an example of what to go by. The Women’s Suffrage is one of the many struggles the founders had to face. To face a problem within your community of this magnitude shows not only Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated strength, but how diligent the founders were. The founders of this sorority believed in a cause and stressed the importance of overcoming the barrier that was set before them. There are sorority members who continue to surpass and help solve the struggles within our community, such as getting our young people to vote and making sure African Americans are aware of their HIV status. These contributions say more about the women of this sorority than any other. This sorority is very diligent regarding the various events that they host. Time, quality, and effort are the traits I notice in the events that I have attended. The positive actions that the members of this sorority continue to produce, does not go unnoticed. The time and conscientiousness that these Delta women put in gives me great knowledge on how I should portray myself at all times as a future Delta woman. I aspire to be a member of a sorority that is fully committed in the sisterhood, community service, as well as being diligent leader in the sorority as well as outside the sorority. Walking into college, I always wanted to join a brotherhood. But, it was hard to find the one for me at first. After striking out on a few other fraternities at SEMO, I didn’t know if Greek Life was for me. But after talking one night with Brian Smith, I would give my one last shot to Sigma Nu. Looking back, I couldn’t have been happier with my decision. Over the past few months I have grown into a better person and have achieved goals I wouldn’t have even thought about being able to achieve. I tried to have a normal life. I got into my dream school, Ellsworth University, I rushed a sorority, Kapa Zeta Beta, and like any other sorority sister I participated in going to the frat parties. I joined the sorority with my best friend, Sofia. We were roommates in our freshman year and we became best friends immediately. We were inseparable from working out together to helping each other study for exams. She wasn’t just my best friend; she was my sister from another mister.
