Recommended: A short note on the theme of love in literature
The definition of love according to dictionary.com is “a form of feeling or warm attachment to another person.” This definition is important to my theme paper and my theme statement in this essay. My theme statement is “just because you are loved doesn’t mean that everyone loves you.” In the first part of my essay I am going to talk about my theme statement and then in the 2nd half of the essay I am going to relate my theme statement to the story using quotes and personal analyzing. The theme statement that I came up with is not just important to the story Jake Reinvented but it is also important to the life. Just because you are loved doesn’t mean that everyone loves you is a theme statement that is showed through out the whole book of Jake Reinvented. I have read the whole book and I have found 3 really good quotes from the book that I can use as examples of why my theme statement is so connected to the story Jake Reinvented.
Chapter 3 is a good example of this as Jennifer really pays a lot of attention towards Jake because she really likes Jake. However, Jake doesn’t like Jennifer as much as he likes Didi, because all Jake does is focus on Didi the whole time because he likes Didi. My reference comes from the page 33 in chapter 3. “I didn’t have a crush on her- no more than every other male on the planet, anyway.” This shows that Jake thought that Didi was Cute and so Didi and so did every other man on this planet. This is another good idea of my theme because it shows that it looks like everyone likes Jake but really Jennifer is mad at him because Jake won’t look at her at all because Jake’s attention is all over Didi.
Another example of my theme statement is in Chapter 4. Jake and Didi start talking a lot because Didi re...

...ing a bunch of new people to his next party. This stands out because it proves how much Jakes loves Didi but just because everyone loves Jake doesn’t mean that Didi is completely in love with Jake. Technically the reader think that Didi loved Jake but now people that read the book are wondering what is happening and that’s why I loved this book so much. Didi does like Jake but in this chapter, Gordon Korman really makes it look like Didi doesn’t like Jake.
I have put in 5 quotes and I have read the movie and for the reasons above I believe that my theme statement is a true theme to the book. It is a good book and I am glad that Mr. Larson made us read it. There is a lot of love tension in the story and it really makes this theme paper feel really easy to write since I have liked the book and since it supplies so many good examples.

Task: Analyze how the story shows our themes by explaining how 3 specific quotes show (not tell) the theme in action in the story. Be sure to keep track of these and your first set, as they will help you write the reflection paper after we finish reading The Watsons Go To Birmingham (more to come!). you may use this chart, or type your own, as long as you meet the requirements of this assignment.
1) This quote is an example of theme because it indirectly states the main idea of Holden's fear of growing up. Throughout the book, Holden indirectly states that he fears growing up.
Theme: The theme of the story is that sometimes in life you have to make sacrifices, big or small, to help things that are more important then what benefits you more. This is shown plenty of times throughout the story, but the most important time was when Sadie had to choose to save her father, or stop Set and...
The theme in a story is a message or lesson that the author wants the reader to take away when reading the story. These themes can teach the reader lessons, get points across or help them understand the book better. All Quiet On The Western Front displays the themes: the horrors and destruction of war and the effects on soldiers, sacrifice, loss of innocence, and friendship.
As Jake takes his travels past Derry, he goes to Jodie, Texas, where King changes the setting instantly with romance and detailed passion of the heart. As King writes about Jakes time in Jodie, he takes the reader away from the forbidding environment he was in to help his former student, as well as take the attention away from the first task he was sent to do, take out Oswald. Thus, portraying these chapters as a joyful moment in Jake Epping’s life where he becomes a substitute teacher, helps students, and most importantly, meets Sadie. This setting is very relaxing and inviting, that is until Jake goes to

The theme is supported in the whole story and Jesus help to support the theme. The direction of this story follows good and evil with a criminal situation that most be destine to happen. I think the Misfits will be punished, but I would have loved to read about it in this story. The grandmother's hope in God seemed to be coming to the end. Flannery O'Connor brings her reader through a tuff time to let them understand the theme of our society and how it’s constantly changing.
According to Dictionary.com, theme is defined as a “main idea or an underlying meaning of a literary work which may be stated directly or indirectly.” My idea of the meaning behind theme lies closely within this definition. To me, theme is the main memorandum or moral the reader will gained through reading and analyzing a story. The theme usually has a message or lesson behind it to provoke to the reader to question life. The theme could be very obvious or obscure, it just depends on how the author wants to communicate with his audience. After reading several pieces of literature in this class, the theme of “Gender Roles” really stood out to me. I especially found this theme pungent in The Yellow Wallpaper, A Doll’s House, and The Great Gatsby.

The first theme, racism in which the narrator is trying to find out who he is. As the narrator who plays the role of “The Invisible Man” has issues of finding his own identity, he struggles with the fact that he is an African American man living in an extremely racist white society. Have you ever thought about changing your life completely around in a matter of time? Well in a matter of time you could change your life around with one small mistake in your game or when you lose your wife or have one huge win over a rival or win the lottery. In Jake Reinvented, Jake changed his whole life to try and get the girl of his dreams, Didi. Jake decided to go out for football for the first time, and throw huge parties for the school, dressed up with cooler clothes.
First let me explain the main characters. The main characters in this book include Rick, Todd, Didi, Jennifer and of course Jake. Rick is the main protagonist in the story and he is probably considered the nice guy. Rick is a kicker and back up Quarter Back (behind Todd) for the football team. Rick isn’t the biggest drinker and when it comes to beer he says it tastes like sand. He has been a friend with Jennifer for most of his life because they are family friends and even took baths together when they were younger, he has a bit of a crush on her but she only sees him as a friend, at least that’s what he thinks. When the new kid Jake comes to town Rick is considered his best friend and is loyal to him throughout the book, even to the end when Jake is in court. Todd was the hot shot of the group, he was the most popular guy in school and the Quarter Back for the foot ball team. Todd is a bit self-centered and he uses people and spreads rumors to get things his way. Being the most popular guy in school he is dating the most popular ...
There are many themes that occur and can be interpreted differently throughout the novel. The three main themes that stand out most are healing, communication, and relationships.
Some think that the theme is that bullying can hurt people. Yes that is true in life but not in this story. The theme isn’t that because only a few times in the story does Margoe fell hurt. The theme of jealousy is shown many more times than the other one. Jealousy plays a role throughout the story.Although the other theme is show in the story this theme is show more times and is more important.
