People may say they aren’t because of the 9 bad years they had. If you look back on their past success in the 1980’s and 2011-present you might think twice. The 49ers are the best ream in the NFL because of all the great success, great players, and great moments. One of the main reasons why the 49ers could be considered the best team in the National Football League is because they are tied for second place with the most superbowl victories. SanFrancisco won the superbowl in 1981, 1984, 1988, 1989, and 1994. A superbowl is won each year by the best team in football and every year a team strives to get to the playoffs. The 49ers are one of the only eight teams in the NFL to win back to back superbowls in 1988, and 1989. In 1989 SanFrancisco defeated the Denver Broncos in superbowl XXIV 55-10 which to this day is still the largest superbowl victory margin ever . The 49ers up until last year have had the best superbowl record out of any team that has ever played in a superbowl they were a astonishing 5-0. For the longest time SanFrancisco was known as the team that doesn’t loose superbowls. In the five superbowls that the 49ers have won they have outscored all 5 of their opponents by 99 points. The 49ers have scored 188 points in their five superbowl victories and have only given up 89 points. Only three teams in the NFL have won five or more superbowls out of all 32 teams in the NFL. 14 teams in the League have not won one super bowl, the Vikings, Bills, Bengals, Eagles, Chargers, Falcons, Titans, Panthers, Seattle, Arizona, Browns, Jaguars, Texans, and the Lions. People may bring up the eight bad years that the 49ers had from 2003-2011 but those years were a rebuilding season. During those seasons the 49ers drafted tons of their starters that still start today and they hired their new head coach who has led the 49ers to some early success. For theses reasons this is why I believe that the SanFrancisco 49ers are the best team in the National Football League.

Forbes wrote, “The Cowboys franchise value reaches over 1.85 billion and are listed as the third most valued sports team in the world”, (Page 1). With all of this hype and world wide recognition the powerhouse from Dallas needs a venue just as prominent as the team itself as well as having the capability to hold all the weight the Cowboys name carries.

Intro: In 1946 two members of the New York Giants were found associating with gamblers, trying to fix the NFL Championship Game. These members were suspended and in 1947 the NFL introduced their form of prevention, the injury report (Merritt). Every week NFL coaches have to list their injured players on the NFL Injury Report. Each player has to be listed as either “doubtful,” “questionable,” or “probable” to play that weekend. What a lot of people don’t know is that an ample amount of teams are lying on these reports. By skewing the truth on their player’s injuries it gives that team an advantage. Whether the coaches are putting healthy players on the list, injured players not on the list, or just lying about the severity of the injury, it is all affecting the teams and the fans. I have addressed the problems with the NFL injury report and focused my research on the integrity of the teams and their purpose for lying, how much lying is really going on, and the link between the injury report, the NFL, and gambling.

They were pushed past limits and that is what made them as great as they are now. Getting up after being hurt either physically or mentally was hard to get over it giving up on their coaches, team, and fans would be harder.
