“Le Beach Naturiste” is French for The Naturist Beach. On the French side of St. Martin nestled in the east Caribbean is Orient Beach. After settling into the villa at L’Esplanade located in Grand Case I immediately gathered all the beach necessities and headed out to Orient Beach. Renting a lounge chair on the beach; I laid back to take it all in. The waters are a crisp blue, pale nearer to the sand and dark sea blue as you look out further toward the ocean. The sea was shimmering like a large aquamarine stone displayed in a well lit museum. The sounds of the waves crashing off in the distance are soulful. The fresh aroma of coconut suntan lotion mixed with the salty air smells ever so peaceful. Meanwhile, St. Martin’s wildlife is running from the warm sand to the nearest shrubbery. Tiny colorful lizards clung on to every vertical object. The bright tones of orange, red, green, and yellow brought the Caribbean culture to the land.
