That is why a charge in court can be taken away if the jury finds it self-defense. It is not morally correct but, it is not something you should be sentenced to jail for committing. Although it is unfortunate that people die, it is an everyday life occurrence. It just depends on the way they die that makes it stand out. Murder is never permitted and punishable. The author even presents credible evidence from those who oppose; Bryjak even agrees they make his position look bad. The author doesn’t refute that people are going to commit crimes regardless if they watch someone get executed or not. Research shows individuals are threatened everyday with the consequences they can face for disobeying the law, yet there still appears to be an increase in crime and violence. Many that commit crimes are aware of the possibility of receiving the death penalty if sentenced, however many individuals still continue to commit acts of murder. The article is entitled “Why we all should watch executions” and I don’t think Bryjak persuaded readers on why they should watch but more so on why there should be executions.

When you crave something, like a desert, sometimes you might watch a cooking show with desert in it. Sometimes by watching this food being made or eating, it satisfies your cravings. Sometimes, it could make it worse. Either way, when you crave something, and you have no immediate solution, you may look at images or watch instances of this craving. It helps sate our craving for the time being until it comes up again. Stephen King asks, why do humans watch horrible, gory, murder scenes that frighten us? King comes to the conclusion that it keeps our Id, the instinctive and barbaric part of our subconscious, from coming out. This is the same with violent sports such as boxing.
