Most people did not foresee the tremendous growth of the Internet in the 1990’s. Computer algorithms have gone from small government programs to every personal computer in the world. You start with the most basic problem solving and end up with the most complex of problem solving. That of course is sorting through a database that grows almost exponentially. Plain and simple, the Internet has a lot of information on it.
The internet is negatively affecting the human brain by changing the way people think, the way people read and creating memory problems. Unfortunately, the internet is no longer an option but a necessity in order to strive in today’s society and indeed should be used if it is required. However, it doesn’t mean that people should take the internet for granted and risk their brains health simply because it beholds any kind of information, truth or lie. Google is the world’s most popular and used search engine. It is used by so many people every single day due to the fact that there are 3.5 billion search per day.
Within the last decade, the internet has proven to be the most efficient way to complete tasks in today’s society. Every major business in today’s society relies on the internet to conduct business. Though the internet is a useful tool, our reliability on it opens up the door for cyber-attacks that can be detrimental to business as a whole. One example of a cyber-attacks that have recently started becoming more prevalent are DDoS attacks. Recently, DDoS attacks have been a rising issue for businesses owners who run their own servers, such as video game companies and other high profile web servers, including banks and other credit card payment gateways.
They spend endless hours on social media just lurking when they could be doing something more productive with their life. By spending hours on social media people meet strangers and they give out personal information which is not safe and is completely dumb. They do not know how to be safe when they spend their time on the internet which can cause much bigger problems down the road. When they want to know something, they just type it up on their phones and instantly have whatever they were looking for. They do not know or care if the information is correct or not.
Overuse of the internet can cause depression but the internet is becoming a vital instrument in how people lives go about so there really is no limit when it comes to usage. The internet has a lot of great things to offer. With billions of websites people have the advantage of finding anything desired. Powerful search engines make finding a good or service simple with a few clicks. Today the internet is much more powerful than it was years ago.
Today just about every advertisement on television, radio and in print carries a web address. It is not unusual for consumers to research a purchase on the Internet before buying. Websites offer thousands of pages of detailed information. Chat rooms and news groups attract many people with opinions t... ... middle of paper ... ... deadlines. Anyone wishing to work in the field must be ready for long hours and maybe some uncomfortable working conditions.
Everyone has heard of the Internet and how it is going to help set the world free. The Internet is the fastest growing form of communication and is becoming more and more common in the home. The History of the Internet and the WWW 1. The History of the World Wide Web- The internet started out as an information resource for the government so that they could talk to each other. They called it "The Industrucable Network" because it was so many computers linked to gether that if one server went down, no-one would know. This report will mainly focus on the history of the World Wide Web (WWW) because it is the fastest growing resource on the internet. The internet consists of diferent protocals such as WWW, Gopher (Like the WWW but text based), FTP (File Transfer Protocal), and Telnet (Allows you to connect to different BBS's).
If a network link became damaged by enemy attack, the information on it could be rerouted automatically to other links. This was the birth of the Internet. In order to use anything on the Internet, it is required that you learn to operate a separate program, one for the mail, one for news groups, and several different programs for accessing databases. This all changed in 1989. A researcher at CERN (a big European physics laboratory) named Tim Berners-Lee started to work on hypertext.
