Is it possible to find the perfect college? Well I think that I have found mine. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is a great college for me. The University of Illinois has some interesting history about it. It was founded in 1867 by John Milton Gregory, and started off with only two faculty members. Their enrollment increase after World War II. Gregory started his career off as Superintendent of Public Institution in Michigan in 1858. After his tenure in Michigan, Gregory became the president at Kalamazoo College before finding the University of Illinois. He is now buried on the university’s campus. Champaign-Urbana won a close bidding war for the campus to be located in their city. One major decision that the school had to make was the education. After long discussions, they finally chose industrial education over liberal arts curriculum. Gregory resigned in 1880 saying, “I am staggering under too heavy a load of cares and irritated by what has sometimes seemed as needless opposition” (Wikipedia Contributors). Gregory made this statement because he was having problems with lawmakers and could not continue his presidency. The original name of the university was Illinois Industrial University. In 1885, they changed their name to The University of Illinois. Finally, in 1982, they made their final change to The University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign (Wikipedia).

I always wanted to attend to an important college. To me, that meant that the smartest people has to be there and one that had good reputation. After research and research I understood that my life have changed since I got to the United States. As an international student my opportunities were less, since I do not qualify for financial aid. My choices were less, but i realized that that does not stop me in going to college and prepare myself to be someone in life. I do not need to be at the most important college to prove myself how worth it I am. A two-year community college would let me prepare myself for much less cost and with great opportunities. Glendale Community College a small college would be the best place for me as a student. It is a place where I can get more attention for the teachers and I could pursue my career in medicine.
In 1970 the nation was in its highest state of controversy. The generation gap that had begun to form in the sixties was now more of a ravine. The youth of America was finally standing up and raising their voices in protest against all the problems that plagued the country they would have control of in years to come. There were many events that helped in feeding the flame in the hearts of Americans. One such event was the Kent State University incident. It is an event that touched the nation and made such a profound mark, and yet it only lasted for thirteen seconds. In the thirteen seconds the Ohio National Guard, along with the rest of government by association, established themselves as the new enemy. All eyes were on them, scrutinizing their every move, pointing out every mistake they made. Interestingly enough, most don’t even really know exactly what went on in those thirteen seconds, but they knew that it left four students dead and nine injured at the hand of the National Guard, so that was enough to strike the hearts on millions. Still today, twenty-nine years later, we still don’t really know what went on. Who fired the first shot, and were they provoked? Was it necessary for the National Guard to be present on this typically calm college campus in the first place? And why did it have to end in such tragedy? There are so many questions, and so many misconceptions about this incident, and like any controversial issue, there are always two sides to the story.
Florida International University (FIU) is not only a standard in quality education as it is also a innovator in best practices especially those that have to do with the environment. The University’s commitment to ensuring that its community contributes to the preservation and protection of the environment has led it to pioneer innovations in solid waste management, in particular, in recycling; because the University clearly understands that recycling is more beneficial compared to waste disposal, it has established its own reputation in the proper and efficient management of solid waste.
In my own college search, Franklin College, the University of Louisville, and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis seem to stand out among the others. While Franklin College is private, the University of Louisville and IUPUI are both public universities. Each school has its own advantages and disadvantages, but when comparing the
For my perfect college it would be either medium or small in size, so I won’t feel as surrounded or cornered in my learning environment, for cause of further anxiety problems, which I will have to learn to control and am working on it. The next part of college that would fit me individually would have to be low or average cost, due to the fact my family isn’t that wealthy and I would probably have to pay for most myself. Lastly, my perfect college would include being close to home, which applies to any college in North Carolina. (One that has a medical program that
I chose to enroll at the University of Chicago-Illinois because they are one of the leading universities in MS Health Informatics. That fact that UIC is one of the best universities in nursing informatics shows how much commitment the University has on their students to succeed. As for me, I would not want to go anywhere else, but to a university like UIC that will help me become an expert and competent in my field of nursing informatics. I do not have any doubt that UIC will give me the best education that will be prepare me in the future to become skilled in Health

For me personally, the college of my dreams is Louisiana State University. The top three majors at Louisiana State University are Biology, Biomedical engineering, and Business. The main reason I want to go to Louisiana State University is because of their amazing biology department .The main things that caught my attention about Louisiana State University, was how flexible I could be with my money, it isn’t that hard to apply and the admission process is pretty doable, and the campus life is interesting with many clubs and organizations that I could join.

The reason why i choose this university is because one of my family members was a student at Ohio and, He lives near the campus so it will really help from not having a vehicle, and have several stores are around the university. They also have their own food court and they also provide you with a fitness room and, they have also have a tutoring area there’s teachers can help you with late work or assignments that you need to catch up with. One of the coolest things that I like about Ohio State University is that they have the best College football team, and the mascot as well. Ohio State also has fun activities for those who are willing to achieve and “Ohio State is one of the best nation's top-20 public universities.” (Physical therapy also is focused, with advanced clinical and didactic). If you don’t have a degree in physical therapy, then it’s going to be very difficult for you to continue progressing with your
Choosing a college is a huge milestone in life. The college you chose (If you choose to go to college) should fit your interest. Furthermore, the college should be a good fit for you, financially, socially, and academically. The college I plan on going to is AMDA. AMDA stands for American Music and Dramatic Academy. This, hence the name, is a performing arts conservatory located in New York. I believe I would highly benefit from this academically, financially, and socially.
The chose this school mainly because of the program of study I was interested in which is human services. I also chose SEU as my future college because of the Christian influence and what they believe in. The many things to do on and off campus also caught my attention personally because of my character which like to have fun while working at what I believe in.
"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop and look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, '...I can take the next thing that comes along.'...You must do the thing you think you cannot do (Eleanor Roosevelt)." Every time I read these words, I am able to see the truth in them. College to me is the next step that I must take in life. Although this next step comes with much trepidation and apprehension, it is a necessary step that I must take to forever better and prepare myself for the life that I wish to lead. State University would be one of the best institutions for this, just as the choice of high school I made four years ago, Good Counsel, was the next step for me then. During high school, I have grown and changed through not only the education I have gained, but also through the activities I participated in. I have gained a lot of strengths from my time spent in high school. Although every weakness has not been erased, the next step in life will ease their numbers even more.
I come from a smaller city and we have a severe lack of diversity, and I know I want to go to a college that prompts diversity of not only people, but character and ideas. Although a bigger school I saw that Wisconsin-Madison's class size average was 29 students and heard from a Madison alumni that the school was reasonably tight knit which but my worries to rest. Also, University of Wisconsin-Madison's location could not be better. I visited the city of Madison not long ago and took a fancy to the city. The city was vibrant and exciting and seemed booming with opportunity and interesting developments all around. Most importantly, Madison is not far away from northern Illinois, and anyone with a worried mother would know that location is an essential factor. Lastly, I took a liking to the plethora of student activities offered at Madison. I found many of the clubs and activities that were

College is a unique concept in my family. Neither of my parents attended a 4 year college; with my mom never even graduating and my dad going to school to be a plumber, this didn't give me the best perspective of college. Not having any real college background is my motivation to do something for my myself and my parents. I always thought a big part of the college experience was surviving it, and gathering information to start your own career. But it’s more than that; professors want you to overcome obstacles they set before you and learn about yourself and who you are. I think Eau-Claire would give me just that. There will be many new experiences and challenges I encounter as I take on college life. For example, I will build knowledge and explore ideas in more depth, along with learning more about who I am and what my strengths are. This college gives people the best opportunities a college can give you and that's why I think this would best fit me.
