This book “The Terrorist” was written by Caroline B. Cooney and published by Scolastic Inc. in Toronto Ontario Canada.
Laura is in high school and she had just moved from Boston. At the beginning of the book, her brother died when a terrorist’s package bomb exploded and killed Billy. Laura and her family were heart-broken when they found out the bad news. Laura becomes determined to do what ever she could to find out who killed Billy. One day, when Laura was questioning Mohammed, Jehran asked her if she would like to go to a sleep over. At first Laura did not want to but she finally agreed. While she was at the sleep over, Jehran told her about a marriage that she would be forced into by her brother. She asked for Laura’s help to run away to the airport and take a plane to New York. After a while, Laura agreed. A week later, they went to the airport as planned, but they did not know that Jimmy was following them. Jimmy warned Laura’s other friends that she was going to New York. While Laura was boarding the plane, she started getting suspicions about Jehran. Laura decided that Jehran should leave by herself on the plane and she should go home. Jehran didn’t want to go by herself, so Laura confronted her and Laura found out that Jehran was the one who told the terrorists to kill Billy.
Jehran was charged but was found innocent. Laura and her family moved back to Boston without Billy. Billy would be a part of them forever.
Billy used to live in Boston but he moved to London England. He owned a “Macaroni & Cheese” business and he was financially secure. When he was getting off the train, a man handed him a package that his friend had dropped. Billy examined the box and realized that it was a bomb. He wrapped himself around the bomb and it blew up (so he died). Laura’s (and Billy’s) parents were miserable and were very upset. They had cared a lot about Billy, and so had Laura. Laura was miserable and she wanted to find out who killed Billy. One day, while Laura was questioning Mohammed, Jehran invited her to a sleep over. Jehran is a thin elegant girl who had long black hair. She was the one who had chosen Billy to be killed by the terrorists.

She asked if the robber took any of his book and after looking for a bit, he knew just which ones were missing. The books that were missing were the ones that his mother had given to him, before she passed. This was just another clue that led them to thinking his brother was the robber, and he wanted the books for the sentimental value. Sammy thought otherwise. She knew exactly where to go to look for ancient books. The book store where her friend, Mr. Bell worked. She knew how much he loved valuable books, and how we was in need of books and money. She investigated and found all of Chauncy's missing books hiding in a drawer under Mr. Bells desk. He was very infuriated when he saw

In this story Billy is faced with a wide range of undeserved punishments, but shows good through all of them with his strong will and determination. He accepts the things that happen to him in a levelheaded manner, which works to keep the story from becoming a tragedy. The first instance of undeserved punishment is the death of Billy’s family. Not only was he unable to help them in any way, there was no good reason for it to happen. While Billy could lose all hope, become depressed, and angry at the world or at God for this injustice, he instead sets out to right the wrong.
Billy is used to showing that everything happens because of fate. As a prisoner, Billy has no control over his day to day life. While Billy is in Dresden, the city is bombed, because of luck, only Billy and a few others survive the bombing in a slaughterhouse. The people of Tralfamadore tell Billy that humans do not understand time because everything they do is in singular progression.

There are three types of terrorists in today’s society: the single individual, a certain group, and government funded organization. These terrorists all resemble criminals with one major difference; they are dedicated to a higher cause and are not taking extreme measures for personal gain (Deleon).
... terrorists’ groups and networks and that have become a challenge for the intelligence agencies of the world. At present in numerous nations terrorists have made a state of lack of determination and repulsive fallings in the personalities of billions of individuals, particularly with the terrorist assaults of September 11, 2001 on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon Building in the United States of America. The pure individuals keep on suffering wretchedness and restraint because of these barbaric demonstrations of terrorism. The merciless and explicit terrorism constraint both by people and at a few places the state supported terrorism acts against honest men, ladies and kids have few parallels in the archives of history. Because of these unlawful and repulsive acts, numerous spots of the world have gotten rotting bruises
