The Success and Influence of the Hershey/ Mars Company

“If I ever become rich, I am going to use my money and build schools to give every boy and girl an opportunity to get an education.” (Milton Hershey Quotes.) Milton Hershey said this and his wish came true. The Hershey/ Mars company became influential because they invented, for example, the worlds most popular chocolate, they support different organizations; including United Way, they volunteer in the community, they also made the Hershey School.

The Hershey/Mar’s Chocolate Factory creates the world’s most popular chocolate. Some of Hershey’s brands include, Reese’s Pieces, Hershey: Milk Chocolate, Reese’s Cups, Almond Joy, Twizzlers, Hershey Kisses, Mounds, York: Peppermint Patties, and Kit Kat. Five Hershey Company bars were on the Top 25 Best Candy Bars list. Mr. Goodbar placed 24th on the Top 25 Best Candy Bars. The original Hershey bar placed 22nd on this list. Mounds placed 15th, Krackel placed 13th, and Kit Kat placed 11th. The Hershey Company is on many lists for how popular it is. There is 80 million Hershey Kisses are produced in a day. There are 95 kisses in each pound. This means that almost 850,000 kisses are made each year. 90 million pounds of cocoa beans are stored in the Hershey Factory. The Hershey brand is sold in 80 different countries. The Hershey Company is following McDonald’s and Coca-Cola by being world-wide. (Amy Brantley)

The Hershey Company created the Hershey School for Children (Project Fellowship). This program was created to help build friendships through the workers and the children. This school gives kids a high quality education, clothing, medical and dental care, and the school helps them even after graduation. He fulfilled these dreams of creating the corporation that lead to the world’s best and well-known chocolate, The Hershey Bar. Milton once said ““If I ever become rich, I am going to use my money and build schools to give every boy and girl an opportunity to get an education.” H fulfilled this dream by building the Hershey Corporation which led to the world’s best and well-known chocolate the Hershey Bar. He accomplished his second dream of building a school so girls and boy’s can get an education, which led to The Hershey School for Children.
