The story that I decided to pick is Anne Frank it is a historical story that I have always been interested in. It is based on true-life events with such an amazing story to go along with. The reason why I picked this story is the reason of the message it brings as well with the characters in the story. The story brings up a lot of emotions; sadness, hatred, fear, and happiness. The theme of the story takes place in a very historic time, but as well a very depressing time especially for the Jews.
The story is the perspective of a girl name Anne Frank and the obstacles her family had to endure and the struggles they went through. What interested me the most about the story is how Anne Frank worked so hard not to have hatred in her heart no matter how much the German Nazi disrespected her family and the Jews. Throughout all that she went through she still had a lively personality and she was very much a joker, but she also has a serious side about her and you can see a lot of that in the story when she goes into hiding with her …show more content…

One of my favorite one is “ I keep my ideals, because in spite of everything I still believe that people are good at heart.” (AFD) When I read that quote it says a lot about Anne Franks character and in how much she can still believe people can still have a good heart, even though those people are trying to kill her and the people she loves. We can also relate this quote to our own lives now it might not be as bad as what she had to go through, but we can relate to what she had said. There are a lot of bad people in the world who has done terrible things, but does that mean they have a bad heart? No, nobody automatically has a bad heart they were born with innocence, but can be raised with hatred.
