Introduction What I thought was going to be the one love I dreamed of, turned out to be nothing more than a learning experience in my unpredictable life. I remember when I first met her; we were both seniors in high school, ambitious of what was to follow. It was not long after our first acquaintance that we were officially together. Reflecting, it was the most up to down relationship I have ever had. Blatantly progressing through every stage a relationship can have, it was a unique experience to say the least. For this paper, I will analyze the stages in which our relationship progressed, as well as some other relational aspects in which occurred. Let’s take a look. Towards the end of our time together, as mentioned earlier, I felt the urge to be apart from her. Even though our history was strong, I was meeting new girls every day. This was disrupting the balance between her and I, so that was when I initiated change. Our long distance relationship, even though we were only forty-five minutes apart, was enough to cause this tension between us. I never thought it would, but sometimes it takes experience for true understanding of anything in life. Transgressions/Relational Repair Although my decision to distance our relationship was deliberate, it turned out to be the transgression I struggled with the most. We had never been apart, so small issues emerged as time went on. The trust was still there, it was just lessened. During this time, I was thinking of any strategies possible to fulfill that love we once had. It was my decision to move; therefore, I acknowledged any repercussion that came with it. If it were up to me, I would have gone to the same school as her. However, I just could not afford it and what happened simply may have been fate.
