The signing of the Declaration of Independence occurred on, july 4 1776 in Philadelphia. Political leaders from all thirteen states gathered in Philadelphia in Independence Hall too come to the agreement on a list of rules that would change the lives of every American and create a better future. I believe that this is one of the most important events that has impacted America the most. There were a total of fiftyfive political leaders that signed the Declaration of Independence, which was written by Thomas Jefferson. Thomas Jefferson was the man who took everyones idea of how america should be and write them down. all of the men that were involved in the signing of the declaration of independence were basically signing up to be hung. they were going all in, if this document did not pass they would all die and america would never be able to move forward as the great nation it is today. if it did pass they all looked like geniuses and were all involved the the development of america's future and declaring its freedom from great britain. The Declaration of Independence was a document that was going to help america help declare its freedom from great britain. the declaration stated 27 amendments that all impacted america greatly, but i think that this article impacted it the most “we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” this part of the article i believe holds the most value in americas development. it states that all men are created equal and have equal rights. that means that no matter what race or gender you are you should have the same rights as everyone else in ... ... middle of paper ... ... recover, because most of the colonies were having money problems themselves. they were basically forced into signing it because if they didn't, they would have to help great britain with their war expenses. after they gather all the votes and information after the war it was all set and clear to sign the document and send it off to be declared united states on april 4th 1776. after the signing of the declaration of independence america blossomed with its new government and the new amendments. america was finally able to declare war on england to gain full freedom and after we won the war it was all uphill. if those 56 congressmen did not meet up in independence hall in philadelphia and had the courage to risk their lives for the better of their own country to make america the best that it could possibly be then we would not be the great country that we are today.
