Salvation Story
What does it mean to be saved? To be saved is the conscious acceptance of Christ as the propitiation for your sins. Because Jesus, who was holy and without sin took the punishment of death for our sins, we can ask him to take away and forgive our sins. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins” (KJV, 1 John 1:9). Jesus died for everyone’s sins; however, not everyone chooses to accept His gift of “eternal life” (KJV, John 3:16). I have accepted this amazing and gracious gift.
Because everyone is created unique by God, there are many different salvation stories. From birth, God worked in my life towards my eventual salvation. Both my father and mother accepted Christ as their Savior and served the Lord

The morning sermons that I attended with my family taught me new Biblical principles. I also started attending the evening service with my dad occasionally. Around the time I turned seven, a new family attend the church, and they had a daughter about my age. She and I became great friends, and she also accepted Christ as her Savior. One Sunday, the pastor’s wife came up to us and asked us if we would take notes on the sermon for a prize afterward. The offer of a prize motivated me to start listening more closely to the sermons. After I wrote notes that were relevant to the sermon, I received twenty tokens. I continued to take notes until I saved up five hundred tokens. This experience was the hardest on me emotionally. As a child, you view your parents as almost invincible and losing them is never a thought that crosses your mind. After my mom had surgery, the procedure caused peritonitis, which is a very severe complication. At the time, I feared losing my mom, but Christ gave me peace in the situation. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (KJV, Phil. 4:13). Through the power of prayer and God, my mom survived the emergency surgery. Even the medical bills were miraculously provided for by many gifts from family and friends. “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” (Jeremiah 33:3). The possibility of losing a parent was the most difficult experience of my life; however, during this trial, I experienced enourmous growth in Christ. After my mom healed from her surgery, God called my father to Source of Light Ministries in Madison, Georgia. My family moved to Madison, which is where I would spend the next seven years of my life. When a person is saved from hell to heaven by the grace of God and the death of Jesus Christ he becomes a new creature. The things he used to be must be left behind and he must strive to become Christ-like (2 Corinthians 5:17). Jesus Christ was the only blameless, sinless, perfect human being to ever walk the face of the earth. There is no possible way for anybody to achieve such perfection. The only way one is able to ever come close is to put away all things of this world, and live only for Christ. You must walk for Christ, talk about Christ, live for Christ. In doing so you will come up against persecution and hardship from outside forces, however one must endure. You must suffer as Christ has suffered. You are after all the reason for Christ’s suffering. Had he not willingly gone to the cross, there would be no salvation. There would be no eternal life. God cannot look upon us unless we are covered in the blood of Christ.
If a person is saved, then they will have the opportunity to meet with God in Heaven and to live with Him and all other believers forever. Being saved means a person believes he is not perfect and is not good enough for God, but he also knows Jesus died and rose again in order to take the place of the imperfections (Graham 146). If a person is not saved, then they will have to spend the rest of eternity in hell with Satan and all other unbelievers. By being placed in hell they will have to stand in front of God and give an account for every sin they did while on earth. The more sins a person commits, the more horrific his punishment will be in hell forever. No one should have to deal with the pain of hell; so to stay away from that and to live in paradise forever, all a person has to do is believe in Jesus and what He did for sinners
My father was especially devastated. I had to drag him to church, and I did all the housework and had to farm food or else we would starve.
What is Christianity and why has it been able to develop into a continuously growing and evolving religion?
There are no words to describe what I witnessed. No child should ever have to witness the physical abuse of one parent onto another. It was gut wrenching. It was odd, and confusing at times, as a family we had everything. During that time, we were considered upper middle class. No one would have guessed the hell that my mother endured. It affected me the most because I am the oldest and would help my mother after my father’s physical attacks on her. As awful as this may sound, my father’s death was truly the beginning of life for my mother. However, for me I believe at that time my cognitive and emotional development were affected as a result of my father’s death.

“Humour is laughing at what you haven’t got when you ought to have it”. The story “Salvation” was written by Langston Hughes. "Salvation," was published as a chapter in his autobiographical work “The Big Sea”, and first published in 1940. The main characters in the story are Aunt Reed, Westly, Minister and Langston. In this story Hughes describe that his religious aunt took him to a special church meeting when he was twelve years old. ". Aunt Reed who is the nun of church, has taken him to the church for "Salvation" purpose. Salvation is the process of saving from sins which is the belief of Christians . Looking first to James 1:18 we see who is actually responsible for our salvation. James answers the question, “Was it God or was it me?” The answer of course is that it is always God. One hundred percent of the time God is responsible for our salvation by the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ or as James states it “fulfillment of his own purpose.” Based on that then, through faith in God and trust in the purpose, it is that we receive salvation. Only God can give us new birth by knowing the true condition of the heart that makes the salvation real and true. Allowing us to become born again, regenerated, and the first fruits of His harvest.
According to the Mariam- Webster dictionary salvation is, “deliverance from the power and effects of sin.” The concept of salvation is principal to Christianity. Looking at the history of Christianity, Jesus Christ is known as the savior, which is what spring the Christian movement. The religion of Christianity began and contined because Christians see Jesus as someone who brings God’s salvation to the people. When it comes to Christianity there is no real definition of salvation although it is very important to the religion. The meaning of salvation remains unknown exactly. When Adam and Eve went against, man and God became separated through sin. Death alone would not be enough to cover all the evils on sin. Sacrifice offered in the right way can pay for our sin. We work all our life to pay for the sins we are born with. Jesus Christ came and offered us the pure everlasting sacrifice, which is his death, and resurrection which would remove all debt of sin.
I know a lot of people have lost or have almost lost their parents. I do know what it feels like to almost lose a parent. The feeling is almost indescribable. It is heartbreaking, overwhelming, and overall just awful. We wait many months for an answer or someone to do something to help. I am going to tell you a story about how an awful disease almost took my mother’s life.
Sins are mistakes made in moments of weakness; everybody has weakness, thus everybody commits sins. These mistakes gone uncorrected leave guilt and regret, but because the nature of guilt is a feeling of responsibility for an action, it reflects the good in someone because at a subconscious level, they long for some form of redemption. The length at which two characters in The Kite Runner, by Khaled Hosseini, go to redeem themselves doesn’t necessarily show their “goodness”, but the level of guilt they experienced because of their sins. We find out that that the father, Baba, had an illegitimate son with his best friend’s wife, a Hazara woman, which in turn forced him to cover up his and Hassan’s relationship, not to mention his neglectful treatment of his legitimate son Amir due to their vast personal differences. Amir himself was cowardly when it came to defending his half-brother Hassan, his sins worsened when he sold Hassan out in order to bury his own guilt. While each character is good, Baba sacrificed more than Amir in order to redeem himself; though he was forced to cover up his relationship to Hassan, he did the best he could to give him and Amir a better life, and give back to his community.

Jesus Christ was the light that came to earth to brighten the lives of the people. He taught phenomenal and meaningful lessons that changed many hearts and caused people to accept Jesus as their Lord. Jesus Christ is the life of Christianity; the Word of God in flesh. His life, his ministry, and his crucifixion where prophesied long before he was born and Christians believe that they were all fulfilled. He had so much love for human kind that he came to earth to die for the sins of the people, so that their souls would be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The Bible testifies that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who taught memorable life lessons and performed astonishing miracles during his ministry.
Out of all of my horrible days, I could tell today was the worst. I woke up in a shitty mood. Not to mention it's only two in the afternoon and there absolutely no reason for me to be up. I’m already awake, there is no falling back to sleep. My stomach cries for food, but I can't give in, it has been twenty three days since I've ate. Has someone that is a close relative or friend ever been taken away and never to return? The only way you can see or speak with them is by looking at a tomb stone. This is one of the most painful experiences any human being will go through. Most people do not even realize the forgiving and not coping with the pain is a key step in healing and letting go. But if one fails to do so they will be bitter, angry and cold heart for the rest of their life.
