United States is a very enormous country and so immigration becomes a huge concern for the country. People prefer to shift to United States in order to feel the liberal lifestyle, and the prosperity that America is known for. United States has millions of immigrants who are both legal and illegal. America needs to create new job opportunities and vacancies for the people moving in the nation and also the citizens of the nation. Much of the mess in the nation is caused by immigrants.
People need to look at the economy as a whole rather than from an individual viewpoint in order to understand the benefits of immigrants in our economy. We also need to understand that our ancestors were also immigrants in this country and if they had the right to live in this country, so do the people who are immigrants. Legalizing immigrants would cause a great disrupt in our society and economy, but it will surely be beneficial as a whole.
America is a wonderful place to live, so should immigration become legalized, meaning as soon as a foreigner steps on U.S soil should they be considered a U.S citizen or should immigration stay illegal for those who do not go through the naturalization process? Many people may look down on immigration because they see immigrants just coming to the United States and ?taking? jobs from less fortunate Americans, which in all honestly those Americans are not willing to do those jobs anyways, but that still remains to be a huge debate. Americans tend to frown upon immigration because if immigrants take the time to actually come to this country, they should take the time to become a legalized citizen of the U.S, but even if immigrants did so would Americas opinions really change? Another problem people see with immigrants is the increase of population, some may see this as a huge dilemma and in some eyes it is completely true, but at the same time immigrants come to this country wanting to start a new life.
With the government cannot completely control illegal immigration over the border, the security of legal citizens is at risk. All things considered, with the powerlessness to control and completely carry out the laws of immigration, potential criminals will constantly barge into the nation and further jeopardize the U.S. lives. Although crime and terrorism has increased because of the absence of carrying out immigration policy, illegal immigration has caused the most effect on the economy. Most people think that illegal immigrants make the country more efficient and do jobs that U.S. citizens do not want to do. Although the truth is that these illegal immigrants are taking legal citizens jobs.
The risk of terrorist attacks means tighter border control and increased fear of people who are ideologically different. The decisions leaders make concerning immigration reflects the ideals of their citizens. While people may want immigrants to go back to their countries, many immigrants have made a life for themselves and their families and do not see their native countries as “home”.
On the other hand, many people believe that this is a horrible mistake. They feel that the rights of citizenship should be earned and not extended to people who haven broken the law just by being in the United States. Those who support immigrants being protected by the law believe that immigrants help the economy by creating lower wages which enables companies to make better profits. According to Becky Akers and Donald J. Boudreaux, immigrants “should be allowed to contribute to the United States economy in the Constitutional and legal precepts that guarantee all immigrants the opportunity to pursue life, liberty, and happiness in the United States” (22). If immigrants were not here in the United States, the jobs they do might not even get done by anyone else (Isidore 103).
The three main reasons they become invisible victims are they are not aware they are victimized, they don 't know the right way to ask for help and they are afraid to be fired or even deported.. Immigration is not a bad thing as some people in todays society make it seems. I think that it also people from another country and race to have a change at a better life than they have now.it allows people to seek a new job, new life and have access to a brighter future for example, the pilgrims on the Mayflower. They immigrated to America for a new life and a brighter future. On the other hand some immigrants, both legal and illegal continue to immigrate to the United States of America for opportunities. Although I support the notion of allowing illegal immigrants that do not have criminal records to stay here, I also think that going forward the Unites States should create stricter barriers and immigration laws to keep illegal immigration from continually occurring.
Illegal immigrants, from their point of view are not deviant at all; a person has the right to want better for themselves. If most of your family members or friends are in America, you’ll find a way to join them because of your strong attachment to them. America provides better job success and better education. If a person’s goal is to achieve higher status in the job market and the only way to do that is with better education
America Needs More Immigrants America is sometimes referred to as a "nation of immigrants" because of our largely open-door policy toward accepting foreigners pursuing their vision of the American Dream. Recently, there has been a clamor by some politicians and citizens toward creating a predominantly closed-door policy on immigration, arguing that immigrants "threaten" American life by creating unemployment by taking jobs from American workers, using much-needed social services, and encroaching on the "American way of life." While these arguments may seem valid to many, they are almost overwhelmingly false, and more than likely confused with the subject of illegal immigration. In fact, immigrants actually enhance American life by creating, not taking jobs, bolster social service funds through tax payments, and bring valuable technical knowledge and skills to our country. If we are to continue to excel as a nation, the traditionalists who fear an encroachment of foreign-born Americans must learn to accept that we achieved our greatness as a result of being "a nation of immigrants."
Each article had great viewpoints but I believe that if the United States keeps letting the immigrants in without stopping them then the jobs here in the United States will start to get harder and harder to get. That is only because no businessman is stupid enough not to take the cheaper route than the one that is going to cost them more money. Immigrants will work for way less just to be in the States and with their family. The only problem I have with not letting these people in is that immigrants built this country the day that the pilgrims came here. This means that we are all immigrants in some sort and that we are all the same, but the only difference is that we been here longer and now we have roles and laws we have to
