The Reigning Queen What does it take to be a queen and what did it take to be a queen in the 19th century? The definition of a queen is a widow of a king, a women sovereign, something having eminence or supremacy in a given domain and personified as a woman (Mifflin Company, 2000). A woman that has taken a part of the line of royalty from her husband and family, these women are people of power and total control. A queen that sits on her thrown with respect from the kingdom, these women is more than just the average first lady; she is the head and not the tale. Queens are usually found in a monarchy where kings, queens, prince, and princess rule. A monarchy isn’t run completely by the queen or king but they do have a say so. Queen Victoria had control of politics but it was limited. She was more a popular figure than a politician. This queen was a widow and a mother she was a queen that may not have been the most perfect royal head. When the thought of queens come to mind, we think of beautiful women with large amounts of money we think that they don’t have to do anything but have people bow down to them. Queen Victoria was different and she changed the way a queen was seen. Queen is one of the most popular queens. Queen Victoria had an extended background and the history of her life is very interesting and fascinating. The queen had much control, changed and influenced the lives of millions of people. She also transformed her country. Queen Victoria was the true definition of a reigning queen in this paper I will give the background of the queen and the history of her empire. Before you can imagine the life of queen Victoria you have to imagine a young women that came from a family that believed that hard work and politicos... ... middle of paper ... ...hreats as long as she could? Queen Victoria is a queen that will always be remember for her truth, inspiration, industrial change, up lifting the middle class and being the model for Britain, the queen impacted the government in Britain and when she let her royal duties go the government ran smoothly and eventually evolved peacefully to modern form (Rompalske, D. (1998). No she was not perfect she was human and had feelings she had to protect herself and her family, the queen did what she could do and changed history by doing so. The queen stayed away in her later life many say she was depressed and she died January 22,1901 at the age of 81 when the queen died she was the most famous women in the world (Rompalske, D. (1998). Now that you have learned about the great queen do you think you could be queen for a day and would you be able to handle the royal duties?
