THE PURPOSE OF PROPHECY People have always been fascinated with the future. Whether it is a mere curiosity or fear of the unknown man, for thousands of years, has tried painstakingly to unravel the mystery of prophecy in the Bible. Countless books have been written on the subject of prophecy hoping to shed some light on what is to come. The desperate search for truth, purpose and hope has led many to seek the costly advice of spiritual advisors and fortune tellers. Ironically, the things they so desperately desire can be easily found free to all in scripture. Today, people are drowning in discouragement and uncertainty. Whether the problems are politics, problems in Middle East, or the Tsunami that killed thousands of innoce...

Faith in The Matrix and Christianity relays in the prophecy of someone special and unique that has the power to bring hope and peace to humanity. Both of these prophecies traveled from time to time, transferring this hope from old generations to future generations. Additionally, these prophecies were made by extra-ordinary people. For example, Jesus Christ’s coming was announced by an angel to Mary. On the other hand, the prophecy of Neo’s coming was made by the Oracle, a special program which its purpose is to bring imbalance to the matrix and to analyze the psychological parts of humans.
Brooks and A.J Gordon (Balmer 34). Dispensationalism has been gaining followers for many years and its popularity can be seen in many places, such as in the Left Behind series which has captured the minds of many people around the world (Pagels 1). Now with historical context in mind, it is time to see what Dispensationalism teaches. Dispensationalism has three distinct characteristics: Rapture of Christians, Millennium Rule of Christ, and the Unfulfilled Prophecies of the Bible. For the purpose of this paper they will all be examined separately. The Rapture is the belief that Christians will be brought up and not have to endure the Tribulation (Robinson). The term “rapture” does not occur in the Bible but instead comes from a Latinized version of the word arpadzo which comes from “caught up” (Witherington 94). The belief in the Rapture for Dispensationalists is based on 1st Thessalonians 4:16-17 which they claim describes an event where living Christians return to heaven with Christ (Robinson). Secondly, the Millennium Rule is the belief that Jesus Christ will literally rule over earth for 1,000 years after the Tribulation (Robinson). The key here is that (as opposed to the Post-Millennial views) the believers have no part in setting up his reign

Tranquility fills the dull atmosphere. Not knowing how much water the clouds contain before the downpour starts, we innocently set ourselves up for an endless journey; a journey to find the purpose in life. A droplet of rain trickles down onto the top of your head, following a shower of many more droplets. Lightning flashes and booms of thunder take over the sky. Many are hesitant of whether to continue their journey or hide from this storm; an umbrella can only give so much protection against the rapid winds and stinging raindrops. Many describe thunderstorms in a frightening way, but the strong willed individuals who embrace the storm think with positivity - rain is changing the environment and bringing life to the world. Once the rain subsides, the atmosphere, exhausted and worn out, settles down back into the calm tranquil environment that it once was. The sky, once filled with dark and murky clouds, is filled with blue. One may either face the challenge they have been approached with to move on, or decline and stay caught in a storm. An individual’s view of the world has immense power of whether one’s obstacles will result in failure or achievement. It is the mentality that we approach life’s challenges that determine the positive or negative outcomes in our lives.

Each of us has been one day confronted with uncertainty, whereas in initial encounters, or moving to a new a new place, or beginning a new work. This theory is particularly important to me as I experienced high uncertainty when I first arrived here in Colorado. When everything and everybody is unknown to you, you must try to reduce this uncertainty in all the ways possible. Humans, by nature, don t like the unknown, and they have this innate will and motivation to reduce in order to feel more comfortable. and at the same time at ease.
Authority of Scripture reconciles the community with God and can transform our lives. To participate in the fuller blessing of understanding, it is important to view Scripture with historical and literary sensitivity, interpret theocentrically, ecclesially, and contextually. I realize each of these can be overwhelming to the average person who is seeking direction for a specific concern in their life. Therefore, Migliore reminds us, interpreting Scripture is practical engagement in the living of Christian faith, love, and hope in a still redeemed world. When we listen carefully to the voices of the past, from a worldwide culture, and guided by the Holy Spirit, we will open ourselves to those transformational opportunities.

In the absence of similar works "in the canon" it is hard not to feel as though, (as the character Ishmael promised), if you accept their premises you are doomed to isolation for, those who see the future most clearly are usually outcasts, lost as to what power they may have to change minds and directions.

The Bible has a large amount of stories about war and destruction. Some of the stories are historical writings, but not all. God of the bible is omniscient and God uses this to give humanity a unique look into our future. The stories of destruction that this paper will look at are some of the future visions given to humanity by God. The apocalyptic literature are the recorded visions given to believers and they are used to warn people of the impending doom of the world. The bible takes different approaches to the same topic in order to make the message fully know.
People around the globe are suffering because they cannot find creative solutions to solve the problems
In the human mind there are many things that go into decision-making every single day. The strong impetus that drive one’s decision in a situation: certainty and doubt. These feelings that people often have are connected very closely. It would be extremely beneficial for each and every person to be certain in all situations. Both certainty and doubt can be, and have been, the deciding factor in reaching a goal or failing in reaching it. Doubt in oneself oftentimes leads to lack of certainty, and a lack of certainty brings about doubt, and this relationship is key to success or failure in all walks of life. Both certainty and doubt are extremely forceful elements that often alter decision-making and play a huge role in people’s lives and history,
...he present century and for sure will be greater in the century we are approaching. More rational use of resources, more effective remedy of pollution and more scientific family planning will surely change the pessimism to optimism in out beautiful world. To conclude, all nations, rich or poor, have great responsibility to challenge the problems that confront our world. Indeed it is a healthy sign that nations meet and discuss policies and strategies, but the most important element in the whole process is the implementation of what has been agreed upon. In order for earth to support us, we have to support it first.
