Recommended: The effects of propaganda during WW 2

According to historians from the BBC article (Hitler’s Leadership Style, Geoffrey Megargee), Adolf Hitler was one of the greatest people to lead a whole nation in history. Similar to any great leader, he lead, inspired, and guided millions of Aryans of all ages and genders to believe they were more superior and pure than all of the other existing races and ethnicities.

Hitler came to power in 1933 when Germany was recovering from its recession as well as depression from World War I. Similar to any other leader, Hitler had one motive, and that was to rebuild the lives and the entire country to give them confidence and believing they were a phenomenal group of people. In order for Hitler to make sure his goal was accomplished, he created lots of propaganda which stereotyped other races, brainwashed almost the whole country of Germany, and scapegoat other races and ethnicities (mainly minorities such as Jews). Since Hitler wanted what was best for his country, he decided to quarantine the entire Jewish population and then move them into concentration camps. In the aftermath, over six million Jews were slaughtered because he believed it was the correct way to “purify” his country. Hitler did an excellent job giving his people self-confidence. However, his actions, by committing genocide and creating stereotypes were not proper solutions when it came to attempting to rebuild a destroyed country.

The group of people he focused on when it came to propaganda were young children and teenagers. In order to give them an insight about how wonderful they were and to strengthen them mentally and physically, he created the political group called Hitler Youth.     In the Summer of 1941, Adolf Hitler started exterminating Jews and other non-Aryans, as a part of his plan to create a perfect Germany and to carry out his ‘Final Solution’ to the ‘Jewish Question’. In 1933, while preaching in front of a large Nazi crowd, Hitler used the Jews as scapegoats for Germany’s loss in World War One. “If at the beginning of the War and during the War twelve or fifteen thousand of these Hebrew corrupters of the people had been held under poison gas, as happened to hundreds of thousands of our very best German workers in the field, the sacrifice of millions at the front would not have been in vain.'; Many people were upset at the loss, and blaming the Jews made many people anti-Semites. Once he was named chancellor in 1933, Hitler preached about creating a Germany for true German people and a more centralized Germany. This included eliminating those who were non-Aryans and/or non-German. He would later detail about what a true German was in the Nuremberg Laws. He stated that Jews were not really Germans but instead, they were non-Aryan, and they were malignant tumors.
