There is no way a parent in 2016 should be looked at as an increasingly ambivalent parent because of the parenting style that helps them to firmly discipline their children or is what psychologist Diana Baumrind, saw in 1960 truth that a trend had developed away from the strict authoritarian parent style to a more child-centered discipline which would allow properly develop parenting styles to help parents to firmly discipline their children. Psychologist Diana Baumrind, and other researcher have helped to identifiy four major parenting styles: authoritarian, permissive uninvolved, and authoritative. In fact, Baumrind suggests that these parents "monitor and impart clear standards for their children’s conduct. They are assertive, but not intrusive and restrictive. Their disciplinary methods are supportive, rather than punitive. They want their children to be assertive as well as socially responsible, and self-regulated as well as cooperative" (1991). However, now Danny parent had communicated a clear standard of conduct for their son about playing ball near the window outside the family room on the side of the house. With Danny parent’s communication with Danny in an intrusive and restrictive way about their new ways of disciplinary him by being supportive when Danny playing ball in the back yard near the window in the family room and when Danny hit the window has parents reacted supportively because they know that Danny was being obedience and now with their new insight of the authoritative parenting style Danny parenting was able to communication the right punishment for Danny hitting the window rather than being strength out punitive throw their son. They want their son to understand that he will make mistakes and when they happen they will always be there for him in a supportive way but also in a strength forward
