There are many debates and discussions over the endless crusade to tackle problems related to drug use and abuse. In medicalization and social control is stating that every behavior has a medical problem associated with it 's reasoning. It is given in the sense a medical intervention so that the problem is diagnosed, understood and treated. Some conditions such as Adhd can lead to possible drug use and so there is a need to be understood, and in terms of the features that distinguish the symptoms from other conditions so that it doesn 't lead to drug abuse. The world we live in has been fighting the drug problem for so long, it seems as if it will never end. The government spends money fighting it and people still continue to buy and sell drugs. Drugs are very widespread and have social impact on our society. There are many debates on whether to legalize certain drugs and how it will affect our society. This has many effects on the political and legal systems regarding laws and money. Drug use is closely related to crimes and and so the prevention of legalizing drugs is the goal. Popular drugs such as cocaine, heroine, and marijuana produce different effects on the person using it and can be addicting and cause drug abuse or addiction. The affects and use of drugs is a controversial subject and so that is why is it essential to conduct research and studies on this subject. Some of the research is based on different social groups which would be studied on there behavior and drug use and how to prevent drug use if it has not occurred yet. The studies explore the effects the drugs have and the methods to prevent the certain groups from drug use or help them to stop using the addictive drugs. People become addicted to certain drugs or just use them for recreational use. Many different groups can choose to use drugs not just children and adolescents. Anyone can become addicted to drugs, they are a problem in this world economically and socially. The concerning factor is that illegal drugs and prescription drugs are going to continue to be a problem and there needs to be preventative programs and education to the public on the harmful effects of them. The prescription drugs are seen on tv, magazines, radio and are advertised, drug companies advertise to the consumer promoting the drug and so people may be more inclined to use them and then children and adolescents are able to get the drug more
